My advice is NO! NO! NO!! She doesn't need her own site!
Have you been watching the news lately, you can't be serious about this. With all the sexual predators out there, I wouldn't care how safe anyone told me it would be for my child. Young girls go missing everyday, don't put your child in that position. With all the things that go on in this world today, you can't be too safe, let her find something else to do.

Technically myspace doesn't allow anyone under 14 or 15 to join, but many childern break the rules. So you could tell her that she will have to wait until shes old enough. If you don't want to do that - then you can make her profile private and only those people who know her can contact her. I would also make sure that you know her password as well so that you know who she is talking to. The internet can be a dangerous place. Good Luck.

all my nieces have a myspace account and they are 12, 11, and 9. what i do is just sit near themy while they are on the computer and watch who they talk to. i don't let them know i do this so it don't make them feel like i don't trust them. also i have a myspace account so i can go look at there profiles and keep a check on who there friends are and watch what they put into there profiles. last week i was looking at the 12 yr olds profile and relized she put her cell # on there for her friends. i told my sister and she told her this was a no no. also have her to set her profile up as private so that only people she knows can see her profile. i would say it is safe if you trust your daughter. just talk to her and tell her not to put to much info on there.

Don't let her get a myspace, there is a lot of creeps out there.
On a Nickelodeon website called The "N" I think there is a myspace kind of thing for kids. My nieces use that instead. . they are 11 & 9. But I still monitor them when they are on it.

make her profile private (you have to kno her last name or email so only her friends & family can ask to be her myspace friend) and also make you an account & add her as a friend so you can monitor her comments & pictures as well as her basic page (about me, interest, etc)... Every once in a while perform suprise inspections on her messages (have her log in & then you check her messages & other things) everything should be fine... myspace is fairly safe as long as they dont go meeting ppl or give ppl their address. good luck!

You can give her one but tell her you will be checking it every other day. See if she still wants one. If she does then stick to your world. There is really no way to safegaurd unless you can check it.
