I just quit a shadey job as a pizza delivery guy. My boss said he would put me on payroll next week ever since I started working there a month ago. He runs his business very cheap and everyone there works under the table. I also found out he was going to fire me because I couldn't get to work one day because of an emergency. I quit and got a REAL job before he could, but still, I wanna get him back. I wanna report him to the IRS, but since I was taking it under the table for about a month, could I get in trouble?

Call the IRS main number and work on through the interminable voice prompts until you get to someone who can help you with reporting fraud. IRS has a bounty program where you can report fraud and if they collect, you get 10%. It's anonymous, supposedly, I inquired about this quite a few years ago so I don't know what the situation is with that program now.

There is a link at the IRS to report fraud. As for you, you should be fine as long that you report the under the table income that you earned.

You can call the IRS to report someone.

You wouldn't be in big trouble for taking money under the table, but would have to pay the tax on it.

Report him. As for you working under the table, let IRAS knows that you quit after you've found out that its against the law to work under the table. You may get away with it.

This is how many small biz's get nailed. In some cases, there is actually a bounty paid by the IRS to you for reporting it.

Check the IRS website. I believe you can report fraud there.
