There is currently only one car available and it is always sitting outside of a county garage when not in use.

I do not agree with the take home car bit. As a former reserve, I know where you stand. I do believe that there should be a car available for you any time you wish to conduct your job. I'm not talking about having to share a car either. One car for every 4 reserves would be sufficient. I applaud your effort as a reserve as most people don;t understand the sacrifice you are making in keeping your community safe. God speed to you.

I do not think that Reserve deputies should get a take-home car.

I believe experienced deputies with at least 5 years of experience and service should get a take-home car.

Reserve officers work with full time deputies, so therefore they are not 'deputies.'

I dont think that "reserve" deputies should have a take home car. "They" no offence are reserve for a reason, and should not use tax payer money on vehicals if they are only needed once in a while or to do transport. I think that they should be able to put a light bar on their POV, but thats all.

Vehicles must be provided to reserve deputies so that they will perform well in their jobs.
