As a former Christian I am familiar with Christian routines. We use to go to church every Friday and Sunday and hear our preacher preach about a dude call Jesus. The stories were very inspiring but they had no practical use in our modern day. Since, Jesus was the son of god we mortals can never become just like him. The other thing I had problem with Christianity is that it clams we can only truly find happiness through Jesus.

When I started to read Buddhist text I start to realize how naïve I was. True happiness only comes through deep insight meditation and through accepting yourself. Christianity tells us we are sinner but Buddha teaches us our true nature is pure, and that the concept of good and evil are mans creation. Buddha also tells us we are capable of, empathy, compassion, and love. Any one can reach this state through deep meditation and contemplation without worshiping any external figure.

Absolutely and without a shadow of a doubt I choose Buddhism. Buddhism is all about right action and right thought. It points out the cause of suffering (desire), and the means of its end. Christianity, on the other hand, is rooted in fear, guilt and violence. Christians have perverted the teachings of Jesus into something he never meant them to be. Rudy: Buddhism is not "fun." It is a very strict and stringent moral code. It is far more stringent than anything in Christianity. It does not lead to "sin." It leads to correct behavior and mindfulness. I strongly recommend that you study religious and ethical systems before knocking them. It really helps to know what you're talking about.

Buddhism...its the only one that has any evidence to back it. the bible is a book of errors, one passage says that the world was created in 6 days, and that an old man built a big boat and gathered 2 of each animal, it also says its o.k. to sell your daughter into slavery......

Jews believe in the 1st book of the bible, Jesus followers believe in the 1st and the 2nd, Islam believes in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd book witch is called the Koran, Mormons believe in the 1st, 2nd and there so called "3rd book"........and all of these people have been in a war for 10000s of years, many have died, blood shed for a truth that cant be proven.....that is why i am Buddhist....yes many Buddhists were just as corrupt as others and killed many, but still not as many as your god.

Buddhists don't have to pledge there life to a false idol that may or may not give you forgiveness, in Buddhism there is no judgment, no sin, no sinners, only mistakes and forgiveness of ones self

If you want to be obedient then follow Christianity, if you want to be happy then Buddhism.
Christian stories are more appealing with lots of emotions but of 0% practical use. Buddhism teaches you to have confident on your own and feel the world with your own way, Christinaity makes you ashamed being human, Buddhism makes you proud.

Buddhism works much better for me - I was raised as a Christian but never really believed a word of it. I left as soon as my parents allowed, and I found Zen when I was 17. It saved me from a wasted life, and although I'm not much of a "joiner," I have become part of a long and noble tradition, at peace with the world, and at one with the universe. Namaste.

For those who truly understands the Truth that was taught by those great teachers... they'd make a wise choice to choose HUMANITY...

As Guru Nanak had taught; "There is no Hindu, there is no Muslim" (in Punjabi, "nā kōi hindū nā kōi musalmān")... How many of us do realize that? Its the reality of mankind that needs to be reviewed, not religious labels and terms.

The main ? is not what i claim about Christ, but what Christ claimed about Himself: He calmed to be God in the flesh. The relevancy of the Gospel to "modern" times rests on whether or not this claim of Christ's is true. As far as happiness is concerned, Christ's mission was to make us holy, not happy. Buddha made no claims for himself as Christ did for Himself. If Christ was wrong in what he claimed then He is to be ignored, & at the most, pitied. If his claims are true, then He is the most relevant thing in the history of mankind. In closing let me say for a race of beings whose true natures are pure, we sure do a lot of harm to one another.
