Cancer runs on my mothers side of the familly.
my mother's been getting pains around her abdomen area.
like a cramp like sensation. she's been gettiung them very frequent. she's taken a sonogram & is still waiting for the reqsults. in your opinion what does this sound like? or could possibly be?

Don't worry. Wait till she gets the results. She could have lots of different things. Cancer is not the only painful health problem. She could have a fibroid tumor, diverticulitis,polyps. Lots more. Pray Sweetie.

Statistically, genetics is not a major factor for most cancers, and where it is it is a factor for a particular type of cancer.
There are about 200 different types!!!!
Your mother is more likely to have gall stones, ovarian cyst, gluten intollerance , irritable bowel , or a whole range of other possibilities!
Wait and see what the tests show.

Has your mother seen a gastoenterologist? They would know best what your mother might have. There's a slight chance she might have Celiac disease which is an autoimmune disease which causes an allergy to wheat and gluten. This condition often goes undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. The way to test for this is to get a blood test to get an upper endoscopy and get a biopsy of a piece of the small intenstines to see if the villi of the intestines are flattened or damaged.
