People will be living in a World Government, probably similar to a Democracy that all will have to live by. The head of the government will have troops(police) in all countries. So if there's a problem in any country, He'll have troops ready to go, anywhere. The world citizens will all pay a tax that pays for it all. they'll say "for safety" around the world(from terrorists)
I think there will be a New World Order and a World religion that allows all biblical text into one big "bible".
I think we're not too far away from some country trying to do this, or an alliance of countries trying to take over for the better of the world.
Increased knowledge in medicine, but more skin cancers because the world will get hotter. Unless they fix that whole problem.
Increased technology in space and on earth.

Look at how much things have changed - and not changed - in the last 300 years.

300 years ago, mercantilism was starting to rev up, and the world was being gobbled up by colonial empires. Today, mercantilism is something you spend one chapter on in history class, and international corporations are the dominant economic force, while cold-war era nuclear powers are still dominant politically (for now).

I'd say that 300 years from now, there will still be a few powerful nations/sates/empires/whatever in positions of political dominance. I'm certain America will not be one, while China could concieveably be, but, more likely those powers are still nacent at this point, or may not yet have been established (like a Muslim Caliphate or extraterestial colony or somesuch). Similarly, people 300 years from now will look back at our massive multinational common stock corporations as quaint compared to whatever sort of byzantine economic systems will have been implemented after centuries with access to information technology that rivals the human brain.

As far as religion goes, it's worth noting that religions hold up a lot better than political and economic systems. Expect Christianity, Islam, Budhism, and so forth to still exist 300 years from now. The big question is whether Islam will have a Reformation of it's own in that time. If not, expect the Caliphate to be one of those great powers, probably with over half the world's population, and restrained from further conquest only by doomsday deterence from other powers.

Dead. I am Christian, and I believe that Global Warming will have a major factor in the worlds demise. Global warming wont destroy all of humanity, however. What will destroy all humanity is the people of the earth that are displaced by the effects of global warming. Wars will be started, mass murders/genocides will begin, and eventually someone will fire off a few nukes. That's how I see the world ending. Humans are too selfish to change they way they are, some will try, but places like China, India, and North Korea, just dont care.

It is easy to be misanthropic on this topic with all the haters and negative media on humanities however the simple time-line of man indicates that we will be progressing at an ever increasing rate of: life expectancy (120 yrs perhaps), technology (ala Star Trek), politically (more freedoms and humane behavior, less poverty).

As bad as it is at any moment today, it is likely better than it was 300 years ago and so it will go in the next 300.

We will still be around as a species, but a lot of things can happen in nearly 300 years so its hard to say how mankind will be like. Hopefully by then we wont be the same idiots that we are now.

Actually at the speed man is advancing today I do not see the world to be much different than it is now, unless we have a world war before that date then things will definitely be a lot different for sure, and my gut feeling says you and I will see that happen.

The United States will become a police state much like the one on V for Vendetta depicted England will be like because people are blind and will keep voting people into power with strong Christian views.

There will be warrents out for those who are different and the death penelty for non-Christians. America will be home to terrirorist who do terror acts in the name of Christianity.

but religion will be the same, Fundamentalist catholics will still tell us that we will burn for our insolence and the sin of existence, and atheists will quietly snicker and sarcastically rebut what they have to say
