Things that are great about kids
1) They give unconditional love.
2) They are the best source for true laughter.
3) They show you things that you might have never seen without them there.
4) They make you take a good long look at yourself from time to time.
5) They say things that you would only think of saying! (even if it is at the wrong time)
6) They teach you to be stronger.
7) They show you what true love is.
8) Without children, there would be no future.
9) Everything is new to them, from day one.
10) They show us that every day is a gift.
Children are amazing creatures. There are hundreds of reasons they are great, couldnt put them all on here if i wanted to.
When your older just refers to when you are that persons age. Perhaps something you may not understand until then, and you need those years under your belt to gain that understanding.

My son is the reason I get up in the morning. Kids don't judge you, they love you for who you are. They don't care about all the stuff we care about with other people. The love from a child is unconditional and the best thing in the world. When you wake up in the morning and see that little smile with the words "mommy i love you" The feeling that comes over you is indescribable. You will know what i am talking about when you have a miracle of your own. There is nothing like children.

Well... let's see... first of all, we were all kids at one time, right? :)
Kids can be "great". The unconditional love is a bonus. Being a parent, though challenging at times, can be a rewarding thing. Kids can give you a new perspective on life. They are the world's innocence.
I have two children, ages 8 and 5. They are my life. :)

Without them, you can not attain the honorable title of "parent"! The ups and downs that is associated with the "trust" that comes with day to day responsibility of rendering care, love, nurturing, kindness, teaching, cleaning, silent approvals, vocal instructing, firmness, and disciplining. The humility and frustrations, the joy and anguish. How it elevates a person above their own selfish interests! Nothing equals caring for children, the look in their little eyes . The way they climb onto you, how they hold onto you when scared, the way they laugh! Too many things to list!

A lot of people get hung up on the negatives of having kids, and that's why they don't understand people who say kids are great.
I don't have any yet, but I love spending time with my nieces and my friends's kids. Kids just have a way of making the stress go away - they're always full of energy, wanting to go somewhere or do something fun, they're full of questions, and they're incredibly resilient.

It isn't unusual to not want children.. a lot of people choose not to. I don't know why people try to force children on those who don't want to have them, as if they have a duty to society to reproduce...
I personally wanted children... I just had this aching in my soul, that only a child could relieve. I have always loved children and I actually work with children for a living. I have a lot of friends who choose not to have children and that is perfectly fine too.

They love you unconditionally. They do not care what you look like first thing in the morning. They could care less if you are 10 pounds overweight. They have no idea you did not feel like putting in make up today. It is all about love shared between parent and child.

Children are a way to immortalize yourself. And it's a way to grow in your own life. As you get older, you realize there's not much time left for You to be around. Some want a legacy, some want validation, and others, well, it gets more complicated.

"When your older" meaning when you grow up.
It really doesnt have anything to do with age. Im 20 and having a very happy planned pregnancy. Its a choice my husband and I chose to do. It just unites us more and makes us someone special that is depended on. Well thats how I feel about my soon to baby.
