I can see why he blocked myself and Dana. We get tough when we think someone deserves it. Fair enough to block us.
But Trevor??????? He's always patient and respectful. And the only one on the whole forum who's a genuine climatologist.

He's also by far the leading answerer on global warming.

Jello - I have absolutely no problem with you blocking any of us cantankerous folks.
But honestly, blocking Trevor seems to be very much denial. He's never cantankerous, and he's the one true expert here..
I'm glad you had the opportunity to respond, I almost unblocked you simply to give it to you.

Jello - And you got a thumbs up from me. This was a very aggressive question (didn't know if Answers would accept it). I don't agree with your answer, but it had class and I respect it.

Easy. You started this by blocking me. Why should I put up with this amount of abuse from you believers? I don't need this. There's enough other great, warm, and educated people on this forum who I can have an intelligent conservation with.

Thanks for the kind comments there Bob. Not sure how many of people who know me would describe me as an 'unfailing gentleman' but thanks all the same.
It's seems Mr Jello has chosen to block several people and I suspect that quite a few, like myself, have not blocked him. I beleive he has also blocked Robert A, a person for whom the term 'unfailing gentleman' may be better suited.
Mr Jello, if you read this perhaps you could consider unlocking some people in order that you may participate in an open debate and indicate that you respect the fact that others may have a different opinion to yours.

Quite simply Mr. Jello doesn't want to hear arguments which oppose his. I asked a question a while back along the lines of "why do GW deniers spend any time here?" because they're constantly barraged with all of the evidence contrary to their denial. Well, perhaps Mr. Jello couldn't take it anymore. He seemed to be distorting facts more and more often and reaching ever higher heights of illogicality, so maybe we should have expected something like this.
Now he can pose questions and only have to read responses from like-minded people. I'm sure that's very reassuring.

I'm blocked too. I suspect Mr Jello has discovered he can systematically block anyone who has ever given support to the idea of anthropogenic GW, and thereby create questions that have only skeptical and denier answers. That is clearly gaming the system.
Just for the record, I've never blocked anyone.
One effect of this is that I am blocked from reading even my own answers to Mr Jello's past questions, I am prevented from seeing the "best answer" to those questions, and I am prevented from commenting on those answers (unless, of course, I invented another Y!A persona like the multiple dana1981x's---Mr Jello might become hard pressed to keep up with all of us adopting multiple persona).

Mr. Jello is just a bad sport. I have no clue why he's a top contributor.
Edit: If any of you did block him first though, you were kind of asking for it. You know, last semester I did a project that involved observing the social interactions of fourth graders; I'm having flash backs.

The real question is, why do people in the climate science community want to debate non professionals who spend their time on this forum for amusement, and do not have the time to thoroughly research this issue, but yet refuse to debate the experts in a public forum?

Sorry Mr Jello, but I tend to agree with Bob, here. Trevor does seem a good sort. I almost agree with him myself sometimes and find it very hard to counter his arguments. But that’s no reason to block him. That’s what debate is all about.

Me too.
I guess he prefers an audience of one that always agrees with him. I don't see where the fun is in that, but go figure. I miss the little dickens though.

I would say it is the equivalent of putting his fingers in his ears and saying "NA NA NA I can't hear you", like my neighbor's 6 year old child does.
