An oxymoron is a pair of words which seem to contradict the other when separate, yet are understood to have a meaning when put together.
Pretty Ugly
Peace Force
The Living Dead
Head Butt
Good Grief
or a pair of words that just don't seem to go together:
Government Organization
Military Intelligence
Honest Politician
You can find a long list of them on this site:

Oxymoron is things often said, but not true.
A good example is a "jumbo shrimp". Have you ever seen a truly _jumbo_ shrimp? Is 2" long shrimp a really jumbo?
Another is "genuine fake". Is it genuine or fake? While it could mean it is truly a fake, but this one is also considered oxymoron because of the combination of the words being quite contradictory.

An oxymoron (plural oxymorons or more rarely oxymora) is a figure of speech that combines two normally contradictory terms. Oxymoron is a loanword from Greek oxy ("sharp") and moros ("dull"). Thus the word oxymoron is itself an oxymoron.
Oxymora are a proper subset of the expressions called contradictions in terms. What distinguishes oxymora from other paradoxes and contradictions is that they are used intentionally, for rhetorical effect, and the contradiction is only apparent, as the combination of terms provides a novel expression of some concept, such as "cruel to be kind".

I live on the Springfield, Arkansas border. I Was in Eureka Springs, Ark. I was visiting Woody, (Woodrow), a good friend of mine. He had some bad guy blemishes. I took him to a drug store, and told him to go in and buy some OXymoron, to clear that up, so we could go see his girl friend's. I stayed outside, and said I had to ckeck the oil. As soon as he went in, I followed. He didn't see me. What a goober. I stayed on the oppisite aisle. This good looking gal in a blue vest stops him, and says, "can I help you?" Woody says, "yes, I can't find the Oxymoron for my face." That gal plusted laughing. I ran around and said, " Woody, you're such a dumb But!!" He chased me out of the store. Gawd, tell me we don't know how to have fun.

A statement, idea or concept that uses contradictory words to express itself.
"This is the cleanest dirt I've ever seen!"
Though the author might be referring to the absence of a specific element (trash bags, boulders), the statement itself is an oxymoron.
"The spire shone dully in the afternoon sun."
"This light is too dark!"
"You're so smart your dumb!"
The definition, in my opinion, doesn't support this word being used as an insult.
