OK...at a few months old, a male kitten may have testes that are able to be seen and felt (not always that young) just under the anus. Both male and female cats have 2 openings under their tail. Both have an anus, a female will have a vulva and a male will have an opening for his penis. Sometimes, you need to actually look for the penis itself to verify the sex of young kittens. You can take your thumbs and place them on either side of the second opening and then gently push in towards the kitten's body to see if you can get the penis to pop out a little. If you find one...male. If you don't find one...female.

If you pick up the tail and look under, you'll see one of two things. Either a single "hole", with the beginnings of a "pouch" under it (for the cat's balls)...BOY......or......a "hole" with a SLIT under it (sort of like a semi-colon .. ;)...GIRL. Sometimes the kitten doesn't mature quickly enough to see this very well, but since yours is a few MONTHS old, you shouldn't have any problem, now. Also, when you take "it" to the vet for shots, which you should have done way before now, they can show/tell you which it is. Hope this helps....Good luck

A girl will have her "urinary opening" right beneath her anus. A boy will have a significant space between the two. HTH

look at the underside of them, near their tail...if its a boy you'll probably be able to tell....also if it has 4 nibbles, its a girl.

Lift up their tale and then look and see. If there are two holes, it's a girl, but if there is just one, it's a guy. Just look and you'll know.
