for as long as I have been here , we have people asking
who is the best in R&S , who would be mayor , president etc

and always the popular ones get mentioned .... again and again
but there are so many here who arent as loud and out there as some others ( yes me included )

would anyone like to give them a little mention here ... the quiet people who , when they speak , they speak with kind , intelligent and respectful words ?

Greenwood
Bad Liberal
Digilook
are a few that come to mind for me

Good point, Pangel. It's easy to overlook those who try to stay understated and out of the limelight; if anything, folks like that deserve the most thanks.

I am glad so many remember Debra M - I miss her very much also. Keep her in your thoughts, please.

Father K (Well he shot to popularity but he had inside help in R&S, I'm just saying maybe he knows someone. Hmm...)

Lol, I've been sitting here for 42 minutes and because I am who I am - I do not know whos popular. I thought lvl 5 and higher but then many were ousted in reporting frenzies in Oct '06, and eariler this year. Hayden Lyfe is gone.
And the shooting stars like WSIDR, Julia and Endora, Atheist Eye Candy8 - so popular they are too hot to stay and have to enter daily over and over. Jim Darwin, Holy Flusher, Laptop Jesus, Gorgeous(VT)txwoman3 (who is up to 3 now)
I have missed many - I agree, who else remembers Spooky and Mav - all her hair? Jelly Bean left in '06. a_delphic_oracle, Mirage, Heron by the Sea, Epona Willow. The first Muslimah back in '06.
Shoot I turned this answer into a walk down memory lane, sorry.

I'm with you there, Pangel. Thing is, I have no idea if I know any of the people to whom you refer, as I'm still not sure whether I am in the popular crowd, or just the pretty well known crowd.

Have a sift through my contacts, if you are able (they're set to private), and see if you can spot any of the 'unsung heroes' in there.

If you're not able, I'll sift for you, just let me know.

Although for some reason Cindy springs to mind

There are many more quiet, caring people just like them, and I always enjoy their presence in the forum.

***To Buddhamonkeyboy above me...you are referring to Debra M, who is missed by most everyone.

***I agree with GTW, TTC is a joy. I'm not sure I know Eds.

I will NOT name anyone, NOT because I don't think that there are some wonderful folks here. Rather, when names get mentioned, there's ALWAYS going to be some VERY deserving but, unsung heroes, who will NOT get mentioned. And I view that as a hurtful way to treat those good people. SO, to ALL the unsung and unkown WONDERFUL folks out there (((((HUGS))))).

Anyone who shows compassion even when they are trying to show their point of the question needs a big pat on the back and a thank you.

I agree with Kathy
All those who give a kind word, a hug, encouragement....

Moon :) comes to mind... Schneb has incredible knowledge, Kerilyn is feisty and lovable at all times....
so many more...
those who innocently make us laugh at ourselves like Aflaac and Avatard... they are truly funny and always get deleted because for their efforts to bring a smile.

I generaly like people that tell things like they are. i do not much care for sugar coating things just to be nice.

but i have to say, that Debra M was one of the kindest people that i ever met online. even to someone that is the exact opposite of herself (like me).

her kindness actually touched me such, that when she became sick (or when her sicnkess got worse) I actually
asked (prayed to) her God and Jesus. to take mercy on her and to give her health back to her.
