I'm thinking about getting the Eye of Ra tattooed very small on my inner left wrist. I have 4 other tattoos, but I feel like this is much thinner skin. Does this one hurt more than others, and what is the opinion on wrist tattoos?

Well, I have very small tattoos on my inner wrists (about the size of a postage stamp), and I'm not going to lie, they hurt like a mofo... All things considered, if you're getting something small, for what you're getting, it is bearable, it won't take that long... it does suck, but you'll live... if you have other tattoos, depending on where your other ones are, you'll notice the additional pain...

my first one was on my foot, and I didn't feel the difference between my foot tattoos and wrist ones- they all sucked, but when I got larger pieces above my wrist ones, I realized that the wrist ones hurt a *lot* more than the area right above it (I got two circular designs about the size of the bottom of a pop can right above my tiny little ones) and the little ones on my wrists hurt a lot more...

but if you're going for something small, it'll be fine... it may suck for the 20 minutes or so you're getting worked on, but all things considered, if you've ever been in any kind of pain at all, i'm sure you've felt worse

I like the idea of your tattoo, it sounds really cool... I think you should go for it!

Good luck!!

***EDIT****
You don't have to worry about the artist hitting a vein, that's a myth... also, the ink will never go into your bloodstream... but you do have to worry about the artist going too deep and the ink blowing out, and making your design all blurry... that happened with one of my wrist ones, and if you look closely, you can see a faint blur around all the linework, kind of like a halo.. just check portfolios before you commit to an artist.

Yes-- this tattoo hurts quite a bit. I just got a pair of wings tattood on my inner wrist and it took about an hour and was pretty painful. However the pain was bearable and I love the tattoo which is what really matters. And it almost completely healed in about a week.

I would say that it hurts. I've never had one there, but I have had blood drawn there, and it hurts like crap.

I think wrist tattoos are cool. Just keep in mind that if you ever want to wear a bracelet, it will cover it up, or clash with the colors.

And make sure you get a good artist to do it, because if he goes too deep there, he can hit one of your veins, and you will bleed out. Just find someone who has one, ask them where they got it done, and go to that artist.

Also, those are harder to get lasered off, so make sure that's really what you want.

I have a friend that has multuple tats and he said the ones on his inner wrists hurt the worst! Your skin is pretty thin there compared to say your lower back. So any where you skin is thinner is hurts more.

I have 5 tats on my inner wrist. Each time it felt like a teeny mouse nibbling on my skin. I love having tats on my wrist 'cause I can both see them and show them off, but at work they're easy to cover with a watchband.

No. I have a tattoo across my entire lower stomach and one on the back of my neck. I just got one in the same spot you're interested in and I didn't think it was that bad. It hurt more for the touch up. Also, just know that wrist tats don't heal perfectly becasue of the location. Go for it!

I have one on my wrist and it hurt pretty bad, I think the bony spots hurt worse.
