Well you can't

That's a privilege you have to be born with or acquire it naturally

actually schizophrenia DOES damage your physical health. The amount of stress an individual has when they can't tell reality from a hallucination is unbearable. Paranoia isn't fun, having voices tell you what a piece of s*** you are and to kill others isn't much fun either. Being put in jail because you have a physiological neurological disease and having ignorant people make fun of you isn't much fun either. Taking psychotropic medication to control symptoms causes you to gain excessive amounts of weight or loose your libido and other horrible physical (some fatal) side effects.

hmmmm, maybe having cancer would be fun for you too! That way all sorts of people would pay attention to you and bring you gifts and stuff.

you already HAVE your own altered state of reality.....

I have worked in mental health for 20 years and I can say that schizophrenia definitely isn't fun.

These people spend most of their lives in fear and in isolation from other people. Many of them are unable to make a living. Many lose the right to make their own decisions and are appointed legal guardians. They have to take medications with side effects like uncontrollable movement, constipation, obesity, diabetes, blood disorders, etc. I have seen very few schizophrenics who are not addicted to cigarettes. Many have a bizarre habit of drinking too much water until they pass out; some of them will drink out of toilets. I know of people with schizophrenia who drink urine and eat feces. Most people with schizophrenia have a much shorter lifespan than average, many will die by the age of 55 or 60.

I know a guy with Paranoid Schizophrenia who was found not guilty by reason of insanity for trying to break into a truck. He has spent at least 20 years of his life in the state hospital and he is constantly fighting the staff about his inability to follow the smoking rules. Some murderers have spent less time in prison than he has spent for a relatively minor crime. He was recently accused of sexual assault by a female patient, but the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.

I'm sure he would be glad to trade places with you if it was possible.

I would have let you in on a little secret, but since your claim is for drugs, and your name is "war on drugs", I will turn the other way. Come to think of it, I will jump off the line into infinity and beyond! Then I will glide into oblivion and from there I do not know.

I have a good friend who is Schizophrenic and it is something that if you had, you wouldn't want.

It may seem "cool" to have it but he has to live with it everyday. You can't choose the things you see and hear. It's not like multiple choice. There is no choice whatsoever.
And it's scary for the people around him.

You definitely wouldn't want it if you had it.

well at least you have the choice to take drugs you don't have a choice when you have schizophrenia, you ever heard of that saying the grass is always greener on the other side well its true and the schizophrenia side would love to be on the greener one as well.
