And uncomforting to know he will respond in His own time? God's unconditional promises may be delayed in their fulfillment, but the promises themselves are never rescinded. Can you draw strength and courage from knowledge that God is ever present with us?

Yes, it is comforting, but it takes faith, too. Faith is not just about believing in God, it's believing God is always working for good even when everything seems to be falling apart and nothing is going the way you think it should.

True faith gets you through times like that. I often ask "why?" but I don't expect an answer from God. I trust He is in control and will bring about what He wills in His good time.

I draw great strength and comfort knowing that God knows my problems and He is always with me. I think this is one of the great things about believing in Him. It's as if I'm never really alone. There is a loving presense in the background at all times. One amazing thing is when you can place your burdens on Him and ask Him to show you what to do about them.

Yes, and also His promise that He works all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

As a Christian, I believe nothing comes into my life that God will not use to teach me more about Him and being what He would have me be as long as I live on this earth.

Yes, indeed. God is not only aware of my problems, but He also takes the trouble to custom-design situations which may be perceived as trials, but are in fact the necessary lessons that have as their ultimate objective turning me more and more into the image of His dear Son, Jesus. What joy to be aware of this! And what a lovely way to begin a day. May yours be also as blessed :).

"What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:31-39

I take these words personally.
I know He is talking about Me.
I hope He is talking about you, and all who read this post.

I do draw stength and courage from that knowledge. He keeps confirming that He does answer prayer in the powerful and positive interventions and peace in my life.

what is the point of him being aware if he is powerless?
i dont wish to live my life in an uncomforted state
promises that never come to be are not real promises

Yes. I love how God randomly answers prayers with such vague answers as "yes", "no", and "wait."

That is what you are supposed to think, not only is he running a protection racket, but he's often a late payer.
