Vietnam brought home soldiers who told of the brutality they inflicked upon fellow buddhists. North and south were fighting a vicious war. told how they committed sucide in the streets by dousing with gasoline and setting themselves on fire in protest.
then Muslims say they are peaceful all the while sucide bombers are blowing up other muslims in every country in the middle east. From Pakistan to Afganistan to Iran and Iraq.
the stories we read about are very chilling. From rape being epidemic to mass slaughter.
Then we have Christians over in Iraq to settle the peace and it is by fighting the ones who are not peaceful. which makes sense but is anything but peaceful in its self.
so is there any religion that is truly peaceful?
they all say they are but their records prove other wise.

Jehovah's Witnesses are always put down because they won't fight for their country. Not realizeing the fact that their are more witnesses 100 to one in the other countries who won't fight either. So their is a peaceful religion that is JW's and they are always talked bad about because when some leader of a country calls a war they won't come.
No Buddhist, Muslim, or christian was ever killed by one of Jehovah's witnesses. IN Germany during the war they were put in concentration camps because they refuse to shoot American soldiers. They refuse to shoot muslims or buddhist or anyone else. Call them a cult or whatever but they are a reliigon that is peaceful. They will not fight in any war.
A lot of them have been shot in Genmany and Africa but they do not fight in wars. No American soldier was ever killed by one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

I am a Christian and I don't understand why my fellow Christians would do such a thing. I guess they do it out of ignorance. They support their religion, yet they don't, I don't understand it. There is a religion that is peaceful, no religion. No religion is peaceful I am afraid, history proves it. Christianity, Islam, Buddhists, Shintoists, none are peaceful. Maybe you could make a religion that is peaceful, I would gladly join you. You could call it "Peaceology".

Religions are peaceful...it is the people who interpret religions that are not...and by the way that would go for the atheists as well... it is good to see you are so vain that you think atheists are exempt from violent nature.

Hindus and Buddhists can react with any religions. nicely, terrorism is b/c Muslims think of u.s. is extra helpful with monetary device.whilst they attack India, that is because of the fact their neighbor, India, is extra helpful with monetary device. they're usually putting themselves in hazard, yet they don't be responsive to it.

Each religion itself is peaceful. However, "religious people" may not be. We need to realize this so we don't falsely blame religions and ignore the people do bad things. IT IS people's greed and misconception that lead them to do evil acts, not religion.

Generally, they are peaceful.
There are a few radicals who you hear about.
No one wants to hear about peaceful people. That's boring.
And I'd say Wiccans seem pretty peaceful. There's too few of them to start wars or anything.
