Broil a couple of steaks. You could also buy a Rotisserie chicken already made. Put flowers on the table with lovely candles. There are many salads that are ready to use, buy some. Get some baby carrots, tomatoes, and anything else you like. Cook some vegetables (buy the frozen kind and read the directions). Have some fresh dinner rolls.

Buy her a romantic card. The romance comes from the effort you made. She will love it.

For dessert, get some ice cream and chocolate sauce, or, if you're up to it, get some hot fudge to heat up and a can of whipped cream.

I think you are romantic for even asking the question. Good luck.

Make some chicken breast, stuffed with baby spinach and mozzarella and bake in the oven use some chicken stock or water (3/4 cup) season with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and oregano. (make a small slit on the side of breast, then with your knife in the breast move it for left to right to make a pocket but keep the hold small) stuff the chicken breast with baby spinach and a chunk or two of mozzarella cheese, use a toothpic to close hole. cook at 350 degrees for about 90 mins covered with foil. Then remove foil and use a jar pasta sauce and put some over the baked breast and let cook an additional 15 to 30 mins. You can serve this with either bow tie or shell pasta (no spaghetti cause it could be messy), Make some garlic bread and have a small salad. For dessert serve some raspberry sorbet with nilla wafers or store bought pound cake with some strawberry perserves and some chocolate syrup drizzled on it (yep the same kind you make chocolate milk with). Don't forget it is the atmosphere that is romantic.....dim lights, candles and some nice music playing softly in the back. Good Luck and congrats....

The meal that makes me feel most romantic would be Italian. Spaghetti is easy to make. There are plenty of good sauces you can buy in cans or jars. Just brown the ground beef. Drain the grease. Add the sauce. Boil some noodles in another pan. When they are done (just taste one. It shouldn't be crunchy) drain off the water and mix in your sauce mixture. A nice salad goes well with pasta. Also get some cheese garlic bread that you can just throw in the oven. A nice bottle of wine and you are set. I'm sure no matter what you make your girlfriend will appreciate it. We women do appreciate effort. So happy anniversary and enjoy!

No frozen meatball- buy ready prepared at your local deli or grocery store fry them for about 8- mins or until golden brown then bake for about 5 minutes lay them in paper towels to suck out grease fr 10 mins then add them to sauce use a prego traditional base the big jar add tomato paste fresh basil, fresh parsley, only about a table spoon of each oregano, black pepper, 2 tablespoons of sugar and a pinch of red pepper, cook for 3- 5 hours on low just so it moves not boils at all or it will burn , cook spaghetti instead of a ravioli it is lighter. make a salad and offer shrimp if she likes it on a bed of lettuce on a plate it looks nice and is easy it tastes great as well offer 2 red wines a strong Italian table wine and a sweet blush so she can choose one with dinner that she likes. for desert a light mousse or lemon chiffon always goes nice with some Riesling or sweet white wine to finish the evening make sure you have candles and a card roses are a nice touch but not a dozen just 6 in a vase and some petals on the table have fun good luck...

If it helps any I thought that the very first time my boyfriend cooked for me I found the thought alone romantic. He cooked my favorite which is chicken breast and salad. Just cook her favorite. She will appreciate whatever you decide to do. Oh, i don't think it matters that you dont really know how to cook. Just make sure their is no blood running through the meat. My boyfriend is now 23 and he has never cooked bacon before.

Isn't the customary gift for the first year anniversary paper? If I'm remembering right and since it's summer time, why not just a picnic supper either outside or on your living room floor? Don't forget the Paper Plates!

Steak. Go get some good fillets at the butcher shop. You can serve them with a fresh salad and a potato. Easy and very tasty.
