I've been on zoloft for 5 or 6 months, I definitely feel a difference, but why don't I have any motivation yet? What do I need to do to gain motivation?

I didn't get motivated on Zoloft like I do on Wellbutrin 300 mg. Wellbutrin gives me lots of energy. I wake up at 5 AM every morning raring to go. In my case, Zoloft took away the depression but left me lacking in emotion.

You could call your pharmacist and ask him for a printout on Zoloft to see what any possible side effects are.

I lost 32 pounds since I started taking Wellbutrin 4 years ago.

Hope that helps. Good Luck!

anti-depressants can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to fully kick in.. but geez you've been on it for much longer than that.. exercise is a good way to treat depression and gain motivation.. it releases neurotransmitters in your brain that it lacks when depressed.. a simple daily work out regimine, like taking a 20 minute walk a day, could work really well.. if exercise doesn't seem like something you'd want to do, then i recommend asking your doctor about switching medications..
