If you are getting a purebred Beagle for a $100 you got a deal. Mine cost me $500.
1. Beagles should be 13" to 15" tall and 20 to 25 lbs. Then there are the odd balls like mine that is almost 40 lbs.
2. I had no problems house training mine. Of course I had the help of my little Chi/Rat Terrier mix to show him how to use the dog door to go out to do his duty. For any training a treat will do wonders, they are real chow hounds.
3. Mine is a great people friendly dog and loves everyone. As are the Rattie and the two ABPTs.
4. You really have to watch how much you feed them as they will get fat overnight. Mine at about 40 lbs get about 2 cups of kibble once a day, plus some milk bones during the day.
I named mine after the most famous Beagle in the world. That WWI ace that shot down the Red Baron. Snoopy, of course.
Good luck with your new puppy, you picked a great dog.

Beagles:
1. They get between 25 and 40 pounds, medium build dog with shorter hair
2. They are smart, but they require the same training as any other dog. Just stay consistent, every dog learns at a different pace.
3. Any dog can attack a person, however, usually beagles are very laid back twords people.
4. You feed a beagle depending on it's weight and exercize. COnsult your vet after procuring the dog.
Good luck!

They are in the 20-25# range, either under 13 inches tall or under 15 inches tall (two verities)
They are quite easy to train once you understand them. As long as you are trying to use conventional methods you will be faced with a lot of frustration.
They are friendly to a fault. They will go home with anyone who asks them.
They will eat between one and two cups per day depending on time of year. Once a day is plenty AFTER they are 6 months old.
There is a reason that the other name for Beagles is "Chow Hound", don't ever leave their food dish down!!!!! They will (and have) eat until they keel over dead.

ok lets see. 13-16 inches tall. Weigh between 18-35 lbs. As for length I couldnt find very many sources. They are Very smart and east to train. and when they are still puppies they need to be fed at least 2 times a day. when they are older at least 3 times a day and about 3/4 to 1 cup of dog food a meal. the amount of dog food reall depends on the dog.

1.10-16 Inches (24-38 lbs)
Some beagles can also be smaller with shorter legs, but the above applies to the average beagle.
2. They can sometimes seem like dodos but like any hound, with the right owners, they will be perfect, easy-to-train dogs.
3. They are usually sweet and kind. But any dog may "attack" people.
4. Their food bowl can be left down, but they can sometimes be pigish. The same as any other dog, 2-3 times a day.

1. About 10"-16" up to the shoulder in height. Weight depends on how well you feed it, and they do tend to get heavy in their older years if you do not provide enough exercise.
2. They are not the best to train and it will be hard work, as with any puppy, to potty-train. Better behavior also comes with older age.
3. They generally have a sweet disposition and have high patience. They are not like pit-bull types.
4. Your veterinarian will advise you on how much and how often you should feed your dog. Usually this will depend on its weight and age, as with any dog.

Beagles are under 13 inches or 13-15 inches tall (floor to top of back) they can be about 18-35lb healthily.
Beagles are said to be a stubborn breed to train but are highly food motivated. Crate training should work well.
No. Beagles are known as great family dogs- their bark is definately worse then their bite (the HOWL but don't bite)
A 20lb-25lb dog eats 1.5 cups of food a day (total)- can be fed in 1-2 'meals'
good luck with your pup
