I know what you mean. In MY world (agnostic) it happens when I'm not grounded and feeling connected to anything worthwhile.
Go outside and look for a little park or a bit of grass if you live in a city. Sit or stand on the ground and breathe deeply and think about how wonderful the little blue planet is and how powerful it can be to create a Hurricane Dean, but how gentle it can be with just one tiny rain drop.
No matter how busy we get or how hectic our lives are or how stressed we are or how empty we feel, we still live on a really beautiful world and one of the things that make it beautiful is US, warts and all.
Now, go and pick up a piece of litter and throw it in a trash bin and know you helped the Earth with that. I hope you find your center when you feel empty next time.
Stay cool.

I have always enjoyed my time alone. Solitude has been an essential ingredient for my happiness, though I'm far from a hermit. But in recent years I have felt an emptiness whenever I'm not in the presence of my daughter or at least one of my grandchildren. As busy as I am and as fulfilling as my life is, I spend most of my time looking forward to the next time I will be with them.

Yes I feel empty, particularly after a bad sermon by a bad preacher at some religious service. I feel annoyed too.

no, I don't feel empty because I'm filled with love and joy from my Lord, Jesus Christ! Read the Bible. Turn to Jesus. He DIED to save us from our sins. All we must do is ask for his forgiveness and turn from our sinful ways. Whether some people like it or not, all whose heart does not belong to Jesus, will not make it to Heaven. Cry out to him, he's all that you'll ever need!

I have before...when something important is missing in my life. Are you missing spirituality? Love? Happiness? Health? Look inside to see what is it that you are longing for.....

I NEVER feel "empty" inside...
For God is with me....he is in my heart
and soul, and it is a wonderful feeling...
I do not know you, so I cannot say for sure..
all I can say is what I know for sure...
God is in MY heart and this completes
my life...
