That is not true.

Luther was in no way a follower of Zwingli.

The two men were operating independently.

It is a mistake to think of the Reformation as the work of any particular individual. There were lots of different people involved in the Reformation.

I suggest you re-read your history books. I reccomend the book entitled...The Faith...by Brian Moynahan. Wycliff was against the catholic teachinigs nearly 150 years before Luther. Wycliff was the first to write an English translation of the Bible. Jan Huss was burned at the stake in 1415 for preaching against the Pope and the catholic church. Before you go stating that Zwigli had a part in establishing the Mennonite denomination I suggest you read about Meno Simmons first. Then tell me what you think. By the way Luther and Zwigli were not found of each other and did not agree with each other's teachings.

And what is the question then? What's the poll? Luther's church branched off into different Protestant churches such as Lutherans, Anabaptists (now Baptists), Methodists, etc. etc.

I don't believe that you information on Zwingli is correct, but it has been a long time since I read about him. I think he started the reform church in Switzerland... or something like that.

I respect Amish people.... I've always thought of them as kind of like Protestant monastics, in that they live simple lives devoted to their love of God...

"And Zwigli, ja, was a beery swine
Who was just as schloshed as Luther!"

(Fundamentalist1981 is correct, I just didn't feel like arguing with someone who was so sure of an incorrect fact that they stated it like they knew it was true.)
