This is not a literal translation, but equivalent. It literally meands I love you, Daddy, but if you're boyfriend is Hispanic he will understand papi as a term of endearment. I want you, if you're talking about sex, would be: Te deseo.
Please make sure this is what you really want to say. If your boyfriend is Hispanic, he will not take it lightly...

"Te Quiero, Chico" is translated as "I love you, boy."
The verb "DESEAR" means to want/desire, therefore you would say "Te Deseo, chico".
