Your criticisms are unfounded. I wonder if you actually heard the speech given to the VFW a few days ago. The President's remarks were right on. Those in the audience obviously agreed with him.

The man is stupid, dumb, a moron, an idiot, a bozo, a chimp, a tyrant, and dictator, Hitler, Stalin (oops, sorry, he's a hero), ...simply because you don't like his politics. The fact that he beat these incredibly talented, sharp, intelligent, masters of the world politico, gall you even more. You believe by calling him names it makes your case stronger but all it does is weaken your argument. You condemn him for praising Vietnam yet you say nothing when leading Democrats call terrorists "Freedom Fighters". You come across as small children calling your schoolyard enemies names in some infantile argument. Grow up. Come up with your own plans to tackle the problems. "GET OUT OF IRAQ!" you all shout. Fine, what then? You have nothing. The Democrats have no plan to fight global terrorism. They have no plan to tackle the massive rise in terrorist groups that will take place in Iraq if we pull out.

Have a plan. Without it you will only lose again in the next election. It is why you lost the last one. "I will do it better and smarter" is not a plan. The people saw through Kerry's facade of being the man for the job and saw him as the man with no plan. He could have won but his vision was a little too blurry. So far, I see no plan from any of the contenders to the throne. The public is better informed these days and are looking for specifics.

As for losing his mind, one of the top 3 religions in the world is threatening to take over the world with the use of unrestrained violence and Al Gore is worried about the polar bear.

I think it's highly amusing that Democrats and other anti-war types are jumping all over Bush for making comparisons to Vietnam and Iraq, without bothering to listen to the whole speech or the context of the comparison--it's even funnier because these SAME PEOPLE make comparisons to Vietnam all the TIME! They have since the war started! They think ALL war is like Vietnam... the two are very different, and any schmuck who bothered to pay attention for more than two minutes in high school history could tell you why. The similarity, however, lies in the frailty and wishywashiness of the American public... they no longer have the stomach for any kind of warfare, regardless of whether it's necessary or not--they'll find reasons to declare it unnecessary and would rather risk having millions more people die in some far-off place and risk further political instability in those regions (not to mention creating a breeding ground for future attacks), rather than to see a politician they don't like getting even a shred of credit or good publicity. The American public's obsession with popularity and superficiality has grown so out of proportion that most Americans haven't the foggiest idea of what the real world is like and how dangerous it can be, even if an attack takes place right in front of them. They'd sooner cook up some kind of bizarre, tin-foil-hat conspiracy about the "government being behind it" than face the actual truth... it's like they're rather think badly about themselves and their own country than people who have professed a desire to kill them and destroy their way of life. If that's not backwards, I don't know what is.

Stop using the war as an excuse for your Bush-bashing, and put the interests of the country and of the Iraqi people ahead of your own petty political preferences. The world out there is a lot bigger than the bizarre microcosm most Americans insist on living in.

Apparently to you failed to listen to the comparison he made; he rightfully pointed out that Vietnam and Iraq were similar in that media efforts in reporting these wars have been directed to affecting U.S. military policy.

Do try to pay attention to current events before making comments regarding them, it demonstrates your acute lack of any attention to detail and enable us all to see the depth of your stupidity.

The far left, which it seems your views follow closely, has been trying to make us believe there is a Vietnam - Iraq comparsion for nearly three years now. The Anti-Iraq War lobby has been trying to convince us that Iraq is unwinable just like Vietnam. We all know that the media at the time greatly assisted in turning the general public against the Vietnam war.

Woohoo! Right on or something.

Actually, I've heard Democrat politicians and the anti-war crowd comparing the current conflict to Vietnam for years.

Funny how hypocritical people can be and want to jump on band-wagons as soon as the press makes an 'issue' out of something for them.

Silly sheeples.

I think it's great that a US President is using the same logic his detractors have been using for years against him. Think he's stupid? Then call yourself stupid as well because I can guarantee that a majority of people that posted 'bush is st00pid' remarks here have used the same comparison themselves.

The biggest screw up in Vietnam was letting the media supply all those peace and love Hippie freaks with something to complain about, and we got the same thing going on here. So I can see a comparison right there, guess he's not that crazy.

Bush hasn't visited Vietnam, and if you actually listened to the sound bite, you would know that he wasn't comparing Vietnam and Iraq, but really contrasting the two wars.

yes, to contrary of your beliefs, questioner, only about 25-30% americans still approve of bush. 70% are tired of the same crap and want change, real change!! You know how to get change!!? By voting for Ron Paul folks!! Ron Paul knows that we shouldnt and we cant be the police of the world. Were borrowing money from china everyday to support our war in Iraq! If your part of that 70%, then go spread word and vote for Ron Paul!!-Hope for America.
For more info, search for him on youtube and google

Edit: Woah, wait a cotton-picking second, two thumbs down? Let me explain why the bush is terrible and how Iraq is a repeat of the vietnam and korean war. I should have made this clear before. First off, Iraq never attacked us folks! Iraq was never a threat to us and we should never attacked iraq. When congress gave authorization to bush to hunt osama, he went and decided to use that power to go and invade iraq and get rid of saddam! Iraq had no wmds and suddenly we forgot all about Osama. For some crazy reasons we decided to be the police and morale authority of the world. Bush didnt even declare war On iraq, but what about the freedom of the iraqi people jim? Dont we have to do something? No, folks, we cant be the police of the world. Not only shouldnt we be the police of the world, but we can't afford it. even today, were borrowing money everyday from china to pay for this war and were losing american lives over bush's lies!!And the reason why we lost the korean, vietnam, and losing the iraq war is because we cant defeat ideas and tactics. You can beat terrorism, it has been around for 2000 years. We've been having a war against drugs and gang violence for 30 years and we havent won that have we? and were never going to win it?!! Ron Paul has said, that intefering with the politics, conflicts and civil wars of other countries is not something we should do!! Do you guys really want to stay in Iraq, for 9, 10 or 15 years??! It is bankrupting our country and were losing soldiers that shouldnt be lost!! And its not wrong to spread our ideas of democracy and freedom, but not through war folks!! TO quote ron Paul: "You can achieve much more through peace than you ever could through war." We can spread democracy and freedom by setting good examples at home and peacfully talking and trading with our neighbors, just like the founders of the constitution advised us to!!. Maybe we should listen. and the media is biased, dont listen to them and beware of lies from bush and his followers. Despite what it may look like, peace is a powerful message and the majority of america want and agree with it. Freedom shouldnt divide us, it should unite us.
