Mr. Jello - he of "top contributor" status in the global warming section - has now blocked my ID so I can no longer correct his incessant distortion and ignorance of the scientific facts regarding this subject.
This is not the first time a global warming denier has blocked my ID - I was also blocked by someone named "the_CO2_agenda_is_a_lie" and "a_bush_family_member" for the same reasons.
Are global warming deniers so afraid of the facts that they'll censor people who try and use scientific facts to convince them that they're wrong?

Boy you just have to love that logic - 'Bob blocked me so I blocked you'.
The logic of a global warming denier, ladies and gentlemen.

Not to mention the paranoia and ego of "everyone has an agenda (except me)". LOL!

Bob - the quote is "you can't HANDLE the truth!". But no, I haven't seen Jello post anything that wasn't simply either his uninformed opinion or a distortion of the truth (at best).

dad - yes, if you click on his question and it says "You cannot view this question at this time", that means he's blocked you.

People believe what they want to believe and ignore anything that says otherwise. Case in point, I answered this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aju0HCEDY..DclwiX4KsL3YAAAAA?qid=20070820163713AAbpVEZ with THREE links to that "secret report" and the idiot ignored it.

"Sea levels are rising due to anthropogenic global warming - this is an indisputible fact, which no doubt most AGW deniers will deny (that's why they're deniers)," Nice try. The fact that use say this is indisputable makes you the denier. If a house is burning down, and you convict someone solely because you do not like him, without the evidence, that is a gross miscarriage of justice. Something you are doing. You hate energy consumption, you think it is destroying the earth, even if global warming is not real, and you are convicting him because of this hatred. Edit: I did not say that anyone who believe in AGW is a denier, I said anyone who believes that "this is an indisputible fact" is. Even James Lovelock and Phil Jones acknowledge that there are many uncertainties it the global warming theory. Lovelock places great emphasis on proof. The climate change projections by the Meteorological Office’s Hadley Centre — a key contributor to the IPCC consensus — should be taken seriously, he said. But he is concerned that the projections are relying on computer models based primarily on atmospheric physics, because models of that kind have let us down before. Similar models, for example, failed to detect the hole in the ozone layer How, asks Lovelock, can we predict the climate 40 years ahead when there is so much that we don’t know? Even though you assert that what these scientists mean is that the uncertainties lie as to whether the earth will warm 3 degrees or ten degrees, that is not the case with Lovelock. He believes a non harmful warming of 1-2 degrees. Anyone who believes that the case for global warming is "indisputable", is by your definition a denier. You deny that facts that go against the AGW hypothesis. No only that but you are bordering on becoming a religious eco fanatic. “I think you have to accept that the sceptics have kept us sane — some of them, anyway,” he said. “They have been a breath of fresh air. They have kept us from regarding the science of climate change as a religion. It had gone too far that way. There is a role for sceptics in science. They shouldn’t be brushed aside. It is clear that the angel side wasn’t without sin.” And to answer your question. I deny that humans are responsible for the majority of the warming, I deny that there has been an acceleration of sea level rise since the last ice age, and I deny that sea level rise is the only reason these islands may have disappeared.

Who knows? I've spent a lot of time in the Religion & Spirituality section and you could not believe some of the 'answers' I've seen. When an exact quote is listed, if someone is opposed they'll start ranting about something else or use a quote that has nothing to do with anything.
I think a psychological exam could do a few ppl here wonders..

EDITED per Dana
In the words of Jack Nicholson.
Jello doesn't want the truth. He can't handle the truth.
Has anyone ever seen him post something that wasn't simply an unsupported assertion? And his assertions that there is no proof are particularly pathetic, given all the referenced scientific facts in responses to him.
That said, he has every right to block anyone. Trolls are a real problem. Anyone has a right to protect themselves from stalkers. You can't simply say "But I'm a good guy." To him, you're not.

Now, now children, play nice.
LOL
It happens to all of us eventually - it happened to me on the very first answer I gave to one user’s question, so no one could have accused me of stalking him. I just shrug and take it as a back-handed compliment that my arguments must be better than theirs.
To be fair to everyone, it’s probably worth pointing out that I’ve been pretty scathing in the past to both Dana and Bob in their questions and neither has ever banned me. So, I’d argue that they don’t deserve to be banned themselves. That does nothing to help the debate.
On the other hand, if it’s true that Bob did ban Mr Jello, I’d be interested to hear why.
While we’re on the subject of banning, I noticed that you’d disappeared recently Dana and that I could no longer get to see your account. Then I saw a question, claiming to be from you, pointing out that Yahoo had closed your account, which I thought was odd. We may fundamentally disagree, but I’d never seen you do anything that deserved being banned. But now it appears you’re back to your old dana1981 username. What’s going on?
:::EDIT:::
Oh right, I missed byderule’s question I’m afraid. (I’m really busy at work at the moment and I’m finding it difficult to spend as much time on here as I’d like.)
For the record, had I spotted the question, I’d have supported you as well. As I said above, we may disagree, but you’re clearly a valuable member of the community. Completely deluded, of course, but still valuable! ;-)

I dont think anyone is denying that the climate is changing, but what I have a problem with is the fact that we assume the current climate is the best and perfect climate for this planet. Look back over the history of this world, has it EVER been stable? No! I think we should do things cleaner, but to assume that this current climate is THE pefect one is just foolish.

It seems to me that the global warming fanatics deny the scientific facts regarding the correlation between the increase in solar activity and global warming.
Worse than that, however, is their suggestions that those who do not believe in man-made global warming should be hanged. That is truly disturbing. See the response of one John Walkup in the link provided.
