...I do not use recreational drugs. Could this be caused by codeine...?

Yes codeine is an opiate! However most drugs tests can identify it specifically. Though frequently both prescribed and bought over the counter codeine is quite addictive. It is also a poor drug medically. It is usually combined with paracetamol, despite the fact that it adds only 5% to the analgesic potency and produces addiction, constipation and on occasion headache and and abdominal pain. It is best avoided.

yup, prescribed medication is OK for work depending on weather it will effect your judgement and no one is at risk.
