I was painting my living room with a friend, we went into the kitchen for a few moments and in that time my almost 3 year old had opened a tin of paint (the other colour!) poured it into the paint tray perfectly and painted over what we had just done and was so proud that he had done such a good job.
I didnt have the heart to tell him off and couldnt believe he was capable of so many skills.

When my stepson was a toddler he squirted toothpaste all over the bathroom, hallway, living room and himself. Mom caught him at it about 30 seconds after he'd done it. Toothpaste on walls, in the toilet, sink, bathtub, floor, his hair, his diaper, his eyebrows...you name it. She took it away from him, said, "Not for babies," laughed and sighed and cleaned it up. She then put the toothpaste away and warned the older brother not to get it down for him again while she was making lunch. About 20 minutes later as she was finishing up making lunch, it got really quiet and she ran to check - only to find her son squirting Monistat all over the place! He looked her right in the eye and said, "It not toothpaste!" lol

* Please no comments on her being a bad mom - she's a great mom, just a little busy that particular day. It didn't happen again, with that child or the following one (she made sure of it) and no harm done other than a little mess. And I wasn't present, so please don't slam me either! (:

At the till, the lady scanned a 6 pack of lager and my son said "I going to tell mum you buyed evil juice!". I didn't know where to look.

My son was 2 when we went on holiday in the Canary Islands. We were on the beach and he was playing happily when a woman, probably in her 70s, came and put her beach towel near us. She then took off her top and started sunbathing. It was not a pretty sight. My son looked, pointed very definitely at her boobs, and said in a loud voice, "Yeughhhhh!".

we limit my sons sweeties (hes 7 months) to fruit and custard. he has a very occasional plain biscuit at his nannas as a treat
yesterday my hubby left a cardboard box of factory reject biscuits on the floor when he went to work.
as my son is (was) not yet mobile i left him on the floor hemmed in with toys as i went to the toilet, came back when i heard an almighty crash to find he'd wriggled over, tipped the biscuits up and over himself and had a ginger biscuit in each hand and was trying to shove em in his mouth before i could get em
im not a bad mama - and ive just learned my lesson about bavies going suddenly mobile

He's not a toddler any more, but my son recently said to me, on a crowded bus: "who will look after me when you die?" to which I said I'm not going to die! He looked at me in a funny way and said "but you've got gray hair!" Which, unfortunately at 27, I do. It was so cute, but I could've hit the bloke in front who was laughing!
