If you're really under grace as you claim, why are you trying to take someone to civil court? Isn't that hypocrisy?

"what do I need to do to take someone to court?"
"why did that cop give me a ticket?"

Mercy is not giving a person what they deserve.
Grace is giving a person what they don't deserve.

Understand the meanings of the words your throwing around.

The cop is under the law, and is compelled to give tickets.

Common misconception among non-Christians.

Christians are not saved by obeying God's Law. Christians are saved through the Grace of Christ.

Non-Christians always think God's law and people's law is the same thing.

It isn't, but, some ignorant people can't conceive of having different laws in different places which is why so many stupid tourists from the United States end up in Jail in other countries.

The bible says to obey the laws of the land. We are required to abide by the law of the land unless it goes against the law of of God. We know that we can not take the mark regardless of what the law will say because God has already warned us. He also said to abide by the law of the land and to rightly devide the word of God.

huh? sorry but high sherrif & police do not recognize grace or any of her minions. you break the law? you pay! you are not above the law but subject to it like the rest of us schmoes. even the high sherrif & police are subject to the same rules & regs. i can tell you this, my grace-less friend. you might not think of yourself as UNDER the law but you will be UNDER arrest if you fail to pay the ticket (aka - a summons). still fail to pay? then you will be UNDER lock & key! UNDERstand that?

Wrong law.

We are all under the laws of the land.

Sorry pal, you don't personally determine which laws you are subject to. You are subject to the laws of the land, no mater where you are. If everyone decided that justice was subject to their own interpretation, anarchy would ensue.

We need law on this planet because not all people are children of God.

1Titus 1:8 CEV We know that the Law is good, if it is used in the right way.
1Titus 1:9 We also understand that IT WASN T GIVEN TO CONTROL PEOPLE WHO PLEASE GOD, but TO CONTROL LAWBREAKERS, CRIMINALS, GODLESS PEOPLE, and SINNERS. It is for WICKED and EVIL PEOPLE, and FOR MURDERERS, WHO WOULD EVEN KILL THEIR OWN PARENTS.
1Titus 1:10 The LAW WAS WRITTEN FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE SEXUAL PERVERTS or who live as HOMOSEXUALS or are KIDNAPPERS or LIARS or won t tell the truth in court. It is for anything else that opposes the correct teaching

Nobody is exempt from the law -- not even delusional Christians. Obviously you didn't give the officer too much guff, or you'd be sitting in the jailhouse right now, or the psych. ward.
