was drunk a while ago and got this girls number who i used to go to school with. she is hot and i wanna see if she will go for a drink with me but cos we know alot of the same people i will feel and look stupid if she is not intrested.
she is a bit older than me too...
any advice? or tips of how not to make a mug of myself?
can u give me some encouragement to just do it?

Believe me - you can NEVER make a mug of yourself asking a woman out!!!!
I know how fearful it can be when I have asked guys out in the past (Im 36 yrs old so I know how you feel).
Trust me - women think it is ALWAYS flattering to be asked out, even if she feels that she doesn't see you other than a friend! BUT what if she says YES!!
Either way you're perfect, whole and complete just as you always will be - do it and realise whatever the outcome it doesn't take away from who you are.....

I'm so surprized that you keep asking! Go back to the bar you were @ you see her there then ask if not and there's another row or table of women then walk up to them & ask them to the dance floor, cause to-night might be ladies night at the bar, because you've been hung up all week looking for answers & advice to just this girl. So go out & don't drink to heavy this time just enough to help you get up to ask some-one or if you find her again! And lets us know the age & what you do do!!

You don't need courage you already have it, a common talking point, school! Just think if you met a stranger whereever you wouldn't know if you have anything in common but with her you do, and any awkward silences can be broken with randomly remonising about school.
I'm still at school, but i recently met a friend who I knew from middle school and although we went to the same High school we were in different classes so drifted apart. I didn't know what to talk about so I brought up school and we talked for ages about stuff (from our old and current school).

Smarten yourself up. Firstly, apologise to her for being so ungentlemanly as to be drunk in her hallowed presence when last you met. See what reaction you get and, if its good, ask her out. That way you wont make a mug of yourself (being rejected) if she doesn't seem interested after your apology.

Don't get to drunk.
Don't call her a chick.
Don't call her hott, call her beautiful.
Compliment her on how she looks.
Look her in the eye when she talks.
You will do a wonderful job, just try not to be to nervous, women like a guy who pays attention to what she says and compliments her on the way she looks, this way you'll open up easier when you notice she is open to you. Good luck!!!

Best way to ask is not to be too pushy - make it seem like you had a plan to go out & she came to mind and you wondered if maybe she would like to join you.
