The bible doesn't forbid, only the doctrines of your religious organizations.

Symbolism.

Moses stuck his head in a burning bush and had visions/heard voices.

In the most holy of the tabernacle, they burned "incense" maybe sage or cannabis, and they were filled with "holy spirit", or what might definitely feel like an extra-ordinary, spiritual experience.

And didn't Stephen get stoned outside of Jerusalem? =)

Everything god put on this earth is here for a reason.

There are ways to smoke that are harmless to your body, such as vaporization, which does not produce carcinogens. Of course, a lack of balance is what has become the biggest problem with people smoking these herbs today, along with the fact that it is done for recreational, juvenile, meaningless reasons, instead of spiritual reasons. And anyone who's done it and has a soul can tell you that it can be a spiritual experience. Anyone who has not is ignorant to the fact that experience is the only real teacher and truth.

I tried it and it was far from spriritual. I felt worse once the high was over. And i did stupid things when i was on it.

I'm glad Jesus delivered me from drugs. I rather be filled with the Holy Spirit and i don't need to smoke anything to make that happen.

Well ... I'll be the first to honestly admit that I don't have a squeaky clean background and I've used lots of illegal drugs. LOTS of them. I don't regret it, because I learned alot about myself, but I wouldn't consider any of my chemcially-induced experiences as "spiritual". Some were fun, some were not so fun, but none were spiritual.

Sure, God made marijuana. He also made the plant from which cocaine is extracted and refined, and poppies that can be used to produce opium. He also designed *other* poisonous plants, which serve a purpose, but not for us to consume.

The problem with using drugs to obtain a spiritual experience is the burn-out factor. People get addicted to that feeling of higher consciousness and want it more and more. You acheive some enlightenment, then you want to take it further. And further. And further. I've KNOWN people who've died taking hallucinogens all because they're trying to figure out the meaning of life. And, carcinogens or none, marijuana affects the growth, development, and function of brain cells. That's exactly what I mean by "burn-out".

Man made synthetic/recreational drugs are bad. Herbs used for medicine.. such as marrijuana are good and they are a gift from God.

Well I hope you don't own and drive a car, because you are putting carcinogens into God's biosphere and I don't think he likes it very much.

Go put nose at the tail pipe of your car and see how long God let's you live.

You're putting that stuff in ALL our AIR.

Have a nice day.
