The State of Georgia passed a resolution dismissing "global warming" as a media event, nor a scientific event.

98% of the scientist agreed with the Georgia legislator that global warming was being driven by hysteria.

This vote was against a resolution by California to pass more aggressive environmental laws than required by the federal gvmt.

Now that Georgia and 8 other states have declared that man made global warming isn't real, will people start to believe that this is just a political and media event?

Do you have both a logic and reading impairment? Georgia did no such thing.

"At that meeting, Georgia was one of eight states that voted against a resolution in support of California's right to pass more aggressive environmental laws than the federal government to reduce greenhouse gases."

They voted against California's state rights (which is ironic, considering that conservatives are supposed to be all for states' rights) to pass environmental laws. They didn't pass any resolution dismissing global warming as hysteria.

And on what did they base this vote? The testimony of a few global warming sketpics/deniers. Glad they're being unbiased about it. What a joke. I love your final statement though:

"Now that Georgia and 8 other states have declared that man made global warming isn't real, will people start to believe that this is just a political and media event?"

Yes, the fact that the GOVERNMENT of Georgia is skeptical about anthropogenic global warming clearly means that global warming just a political event. LOL!!

Since when are 3 skeptics 98% of scientists?

It is being debated in the Georgia Legislature, but strangely, a couple miles away, at Georgia's leading scientific university, there is no debate:

Good for Georgia. First off, just think, how could the dinosaurs have survived as well as they did if it weren't for a warm period. Earth's climate has been going up and down in a kind of pattern since the beginning of earth and so CO2 has nothing to do with it. besides Co2 always eventually becomes oxygen so no worries. Man-made global warming was something created by a very few scientists and perpetuated by the liberal media so as to hurt "evil" big business Most scientists and nearly all leading scientists dont believe in man-made global warming

You know, I thought we were through with all the hog-wash of denying Global Warming!

We need people who actually read the warming facts to come forward and present the facts. But, I guess once a denier always a denier.

It's just too darn bad.

The state legislature of Georgia s controlled by a bunch of religious right kooks--no one listens to them.

As for that "98% of scientists--that is flat false--I don't know where you got the figure, but its an outright lie.

Global warming (and its human origins) are establised facts. Get over it.

Anything seems possible these days. It's disappointing really. I question the scientists involved here.
Why is it so hard to believe that global warming exists? It exists. The point up for discussion is whether man's activities is speeding up the quite natural process. I believe we are but I'm not a scientist nor would I consider myself an expert.

Georgia can outlaw rain. Does that mean it won't rain in Georgia?

Whether or not the global climactic change is temporary or permanent, legislating for it or against it just as pointless.

What a waste of taxpayers' money.
