Many days, I will sneeze violently 4-6 times in a row. I may not sneeze at all for the rest of the day. Or, I may sneeze hard 2-4 times in a single day. It doesn't depend on the month or weather conditions. I don't live in a dusty apartment, and I've never been known to be allergic to anything.

Is this an allergy?

One last question that I've been curious about for a long time: many years ago, I woke up and immediately smelled a strong scent of vinegar in the air. My dad used to clean the coffee maker with vinegar so I figured he had been running it (the steam carried the smell all around the house). To my surprise, he hadn't done anything. Everyone was still asleep. However, I smelled vinegar for most of that day, and couldn't put my contacts in because my eyes burned when I tried.

This never happened again. Could it have been a one day allergy that my body learned to defeat?

Chances are you are allergic to dust mites. You should go to an allergist and see what you are allergic to so he can give you some medication to treat it.The best is Claritin and Astelin nasal spray.

In answer to your first question: you are likely allergic to dust mites. Even if your home doesn't seem dusty, dust mites are definitely still present. Everyone has them, and there can be anywhere from 100,000 to 10,000,000 of them living in your bed alone.

It sounds like your allergy is mild and an over the counter antihistimine would probably help.

As for your second question... No, I don't think that was an allergy, although I cannot explain what it was caused by.

I do the same occasionally, when I come into contact with something that I am allergic to. Your body is reacting to the offender which you may not know that you are allergic to. If you get emotionally upset or stressed it will more likely to happen at that time. I don't know about the vinegar smell and your response to it.

I don't know what causes it but I also sneeze multiple times occasionally and for no apparent reason. It does not happen often maybe once in two weeks. I can be in the same room all day with no sneezes and then they start. One would think if it were an allergy it would be more regular ond more often.

I sneeze all the time too. Also, like 4-6 times in a row. The bad part is a do it like 5 times a day! It is so horrible. I don't know why either.
