us as Christians should be known for the fruits of the spirit which is number 1: LOVE and have patience. so would you go out into your neighborhood and offer to clean up someones backyard, mow, or just serve them in a way that they would be blessed by? Why do we as Christians not get out and show that God loves everyone, so I encourage you to do something for someone.. maybe not now but later

Actually, a couple of years ago, I helped organize a team of young boys and girls to do exactly what you are talking about.
It was a blessing to the people we helped...but it was even more of a blessing to the kids who participated.
Sadly, nobody seems interested this year...

Well you don't have to ask someone let me do your yard but you can help around the neighborhood. Some ppl will take advantage of you so help in a community way and attract ppl to help too.

As Christians, people are told to help one another. But this also true for other Fayth's as well. I think the reason for people ignoring this tenant of their Fayth is that they get caught up being part of the world. We need to look beyond our own vain ambitions and we should help those in need.
