I live in apartment and I fear the legendary vocalization of Siamese will be a problem, but maybe not. They will be about 18 weeks old.

I wouldn't be overly concerned. I've had the worst luck with vocalization in the decidedly smarmy Calico variety, but the Siamese are not so bad. An easy way to cover? Put on the radio on low volume or leave the TV on. The sound will drown out meows, and the presence of noise seems to keep the kitties calm, thereby reducing the propensity to vocalize.

Well how loud do you want them to be? Siamese are known to be very vocal cats but not all are. The more you talk to them at a young age the more vocal they will become. My mothers Siamese Caoilfhionn is a very vocal and demanding cat. He is a tattle tell and actually will yell at you for pestering him or upsetting him. My other Siamese Saki is only vocal during feeding time and it is just a low gravelly warble nothing like his counterparts bellowing meow. I have lived with Meezers ever since I was a baby and now I foster for the Siamese Cat Rescue. Meezers really like to interact with their humans and like I said the more you encourage them to talk the louder and more they will. But dont worry I have never heard a Meezer loud enough to disturb someone next door, lol, I tihnk you should be just fine. Here are some links to a cattery, on her pages you can hear the vocalization of siamese.

I can tell you right now that if they're not spayed or neutered, you're going to have yowling that can be heard for at least a block when they come into season.

Some siamese talk a lot to people, some are fairly silent. The more you encourage it when they're kittens, the more they'll like to talk.

Siamese live long lives, upwards of 18 or 20 years. I hope you're in this for the long haul, as a pet owner.

Yes Siamese are vocal cats but, its not like in the Disney Movies where all they do is YOWL at high volumes. My Siamese actually sings quietly ( like when you hear a song on the radio and you sing softly along with the tune) to herself but does "gripe" in a volume like 2 adults when shes scolding the other cats .
Its all up to how you treat your cats. Most likely because you will have 2 of them at the same time, they will more than likely only vocalize to you. With each other they will utilize body language.

They do "talk" a lot but don't cry just for the sake of crying;
they are good communicators and you have chosen a fun situation~Siamese are delightful

If the cats are purebred, their meow won't be so loud. I have a siamese cat and his meow is not too loud.

NO PROBLEM JUST DON'T USE LOUD SPEECH TO THEM WHISPER AND THEY WILL BE VERY SUBJECT TO QUIET NOISES.
