When he is staying dry all night wearing diapers then he is ready to wear underwear to bed. My 3 year old was fully potty trained during the day, but would wake up in the middle of the night and wet the bed (or do it in her sleep) We made her wear diapers to bed at night until she stayed dry all night in her diaper. It only lasted a few months. She had a couple of accidents but is dry all night wearing underwear now.

I would leave him for a while - maybe he'll give the nappy up of his own accord. My son who will be three in October has been potty trained since March but he still has a nappy at night. 9/10 it's dry in the morning but I don't want chance the no nappy at night concept yet in case he does have an accident and gets massively disappointed or embarrassed with himself. I'm thinking I'll wait until his birthday and then suggest that "now you're a big boy you don't need to wear a nappy at night" but if he really protests I'll let him keep it. I think you only need to start worrying when they are 4 and still wearing nappies!
Good Luck whatever you decide.

Boys are a little harder to potty train. It will take some sacrifice, like sleep. Start taking him evry 4 hours throughout the night and as soon as he wakes up in the morning. This will get him on a regular schedule of going and soon he will be so used to it he wont need the diaper anymore.

Wait till he's three. He may still be to immature physically to go all night long. Be patient. Boys take longer (bet you get tired of hearing that). My son did day time real fast but night time he was over three. Good luck. Try Good Nites (Pull Ups for night time) instead of diapers so he feels more like a "big" boy.

Does he wet the diaper or is it dry??? This is what I did with my son......... I put a bed liner under the mattress and put an old towel on his sheet. I put him in underware. I made him go to the bathroom before bed or try. Then I told him your a big boy now, you have big boy underware on and you don't want to wet your bed. I woke him up in the middle of the night for the first week, now he sleeps threw the night and no accidents in over a year. (he is 4 now) Best of luck to you guys. Hope this helps.

I use to go and wake my babies up once a night and take them to the bathroom. Then I realized it was easier to cut the liquids at least 1 1/2hr before bed. You may also want to invest in rubber fitted sheets. Good Luck.
