Since this body isn't going to last forever and I'm destined to get a new one when Jesus comes for me, it looks like I'm a spirit in a body.

The Church says (and I happen to believe) that a human being is neither. They didn't embrace Descartes "ghost in the machine" paradigm.
I believe that a human being is a spirit incarnate. Body and spirit are so fused together that they're inseparable. A body without a spirit isn't human, it's a cadaver. A spirit without a body isn't human, it's a ghost. A human is both together as one entity.
I believe Jesus was the same, which makes for interesting theology when you talk about Jesus crucified and dead. But that's a whole other question.

We are a body, with an eternal soul, and a dead spirit, until we are repentant, get baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins. Then we are clean from the inside out. Then God will give us His Spirit which is called the Holy Ghost and we will know without a doubt that we have it when we speak in an unknown language! Our Spirit will be brought to life and will speak to our Creator!

I am a mass of living cells and genetic material, molded into a being called a homo sapien.
Anything relating to "spirituality" in this world just uses metaphors for biological processes and controlling thought patterns of the mind.
