Do they really exist? Is there such a breed of cat?

It's fictional. The Cheshire cat was in Alice in Wonderland - or Through the Looking Glass (can't remember which) but he would slowly disappear leaving nothing but his smile behind.

There is no real Cheshire cats. It is a made-up cat out of Alice In Wonderland. However, he did have a great smile!

I'm guessing they're imaginary. But if you use your imagination real hard. You can almost make them become real!
