It is kind of hard not to be dogmatic about dogma.

But we can still be civil and respect each other.

With love in Christ.

Dogma is a doctrine or code of beliefs accepted as authoritative.

So what is wrong with that?

Disrespectful people use the word with a pejorative intent and so the word has been regarded as somehow negative by association.

All part of modern dumbing down and lack of ability to reason.

Without dogma nothing is certain. All walks of life have their dogma. Dogma is useful for understanding and practical application.

I would imagine it would be ok to be dogmatic if you were diplomatic at the same time.

That way nobody gets hurt.

Not good......
Being dogmatic shows everyone you are not flexible and that your ideas are closed and rigid and you are not open to new ideas.

It's a big turn off.
