...who don't SEE the difference between an 'ILLEGAL' immigrant, and one that's trying to do things the RIGHT way?

What would you do if YOU - or your son or your daughter - wanted to marry a foreigner and bring them into the country to start a family, and the rest of the US citizens started to INSULT them with the most horrible words just because of hatred???

"Hatred ever kills, love never dies. Such is the vast difference between the two. What is obtained by love is retained for all time. What is obtained by hatred proves a burden in reality for it increases hatred."

- Mohandas 'Mahatma' Gandhi -

The fact that people in the United States don't want illegal immigrants doesn't mean they have to HATE the rest of the world.

Hatred spawned by ignorance is just plain wrong.

And YES, I'm a US citizen, and your insults are inconsequential to me.

I'm laughing. No, I'm not married to or living with an illegal immigrant. No, I do not have a son or a daughter that wants to marry a foreigner. I'm just a person who's answering questions here to help people to do things the right way. And no, I'm neither too young nor ignorant.

Some of the answers are hilarious..

If someone is trying to enter to USA the right and legal way, I have no problem with them living in the states.
I know many people who come from other countries and my own husband was born in Europe. It is only people who sneak into the USA and don't do things legally that i have a problem with. You are right that hatred is wrong and it usuall y is worst for the person who is carrying the hatred inside of themselves.

Yes, there are people on these boards that dislike/hate any immigrants. But, on the whole I get the impression, the majority of people are against illegals not matter what country they are from

I have also noticed that some posts come on here shouting demands for more rights for illegals, yet when you question them why they feel they have a right, and what about legal immigrants still waiting for the green card etc they suddenly go quiet and you get no replies. Unless it has a lot of ***** in the answer!

I think illegals should be deport to where ever they may come from, as they have not followed the US immigration law to gain entry in the USA, and the same for the UK

You make no sense. You are all over on your question.
But, I will try and answer best I can.

Human being are what we are for good and bad. We are not perfect or claim to be and some are even evil.
NO laws, rules or legislation will ever change that

M.M. Gandhi was one person he didn't represent the human race he represented his views and values. He was a good simple man but that all he was.

On your issue of illegal immigants can't figure out if your justifying it or what. I have not a clue. Sorry

You are either very young or uneducated. Which is okay. I highly recommend next time you write a question think it out better and write so we understand what you are asking.

Nobody should insult you for your views but again we are just human.

You've got your head where the sun don't shine.

Americans are NOT against legal immigration. Legal immigrants come here in accordance with U.S. immigration laws with the intent of becoming U.S. citizens, learning English, adopting the culture and values of America, and contributing to the betterment of the country. They are proud of their accomplishment and rightly so.

If my son or daughter wanted to marry a foreigner and bring them back to the country - more power to 'em. My father did the same thing after WWII. You are making an extremely broad and basically INCORRECT assumption when you say that ALL Americans insult immigrants or hate the rest of the world.

You probably ran up against a racist bigot who hates everyone. They exist in all walks of life but they are NOT representative of people in general. Sometimes they can't be avoided but they CAN be ignored. It sounds like their insults were VERY CONSEQUENTIAL to you regardless of what you claim.

It also sounds like you been educated by La Raza, a TRULY loathsome, America-hating racist mob of ILLEGAL immigrants.

I think you need to re-educate yourself on the immigration issue and see just WHO it is that is spewing the hatred and racist remarks about America's immigration policies. I think you will find that they aren't even Americans, but those that have come here illegally and expect to be provided with everything due a citizen without even working for it. At taxpayers expense, of course!

I just hope for your sake you really know the person you or your son-daughter-friend-relative is planning to marry so they can have citizenship in the United States. As most of us know many people are conned each and every day by these people just so they can get U.S. citizenship. Once they are here and have their papers they make the person miserable and usually end up dumping them. If on the other hand you have found real love I congratulate you and wish you the best in life. But don't confuse hatred with people just being fed up.

With all due admire to you, i'm a white heterosexual and that i'm no longer crammed with hatred and concern. I personnaly evaluate myself very plenty a man or woman in certainty. once you generalize the way you have you start to sound very very akin to the haters i'm constantly arguing with in this section. There are lot extra individuals than you think of apparantly. We stand shoulder to shoulder with our fellow electorate (gay or promptly) and demand equivalent recognition and equivalent rights. once you word a query the way you probably did this one you paint us all with the comparable brush. I personnaly resent the way gay electorate are dealt with in this united states of america, and in many things of this international. I additionally personnaly resent it while everyone communities me in with the small minded bigots of this international. I comprehend your frustration, yet supply it purely a splash extra theory next time once you observe a query.

There nativists, xenophobes, and racists trying to piggyback thier irrationality on the legitimate immigration issues that are currently being debated. It's sad, but it happens any time a political movement gets even a little momentum going. There are anarchists and communist jumping on the anti-war bandwagon, for instance. And, on the other side of the immigration debate, you have racists, political opportunists, and even fringe Aztlan loonies all piling on, as well.

Well, if I was trying to do it the right way I would not be soliciting important information regarding my life on YA US; especially for information on other countries. What you consider to be hatred might be another person's sense of humor.

P.S. We don't worship Gandhi in this country.

We are a Nation of immigrants and we welcome in a large number yearly. These are legals who go through the proper channels to get here. So it's not that we hate immigrants, we just expect to be respected and that they abide by our laws in coming here.

Who are you talking about?
I don't see any messages here about hating immigrants.

I see only a few here and there about ppl who may hate ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Illegal aliens are NOT "immigrants".

In order to be an "immigrant" you have to go through the proper immigration procedure, and have legal documents proving you have "immigrated".
Immigration is a LEGAL PROCESS.

People who enter the USA illegally are NOT "immigrants", most of them never even tried to immigrate, they just violate our laws by coming here illegally.

Nobody is against "immigrants". It is the criminal illegal aliens we want to leave.
