As the title says, I am going to custom paint my computer. I am in need of a good brand of paint that will be used on metal. It would be preferable in a spray can form so I can just use a pistol grip with it instead of renting a compressor and gun for a few days.

Colors would be prefered to have some flake in them.

Hi,

Usually it's better to use a primer/surfacer before painting.
The primer will be according to the surface and the paint.
For insteance, for alluminium you may use an epoxy primer.
The paint can be acrylic but it's better to wait for the primer to dry 8 hours or so and then sand.
Pass a tack cloth before painting.

They may even have paints that will adhere well to «light» metals.
Mind that a synthetic primer can only support synthetic paints while an epoxy or acrylic will support most paints.

Best regards,

José

I'm not going to tell you how to do this....it would take to long and I don't know what you know... but:

Treat your computer in the same way you would treat your car. Use car paint, primer and other stuff and you should be fine. Be sure your take care of the untreated plastic parts in the right way or they may change shape on you.
