It takes a couple of days for them to get back to their normal selves. From your question history, I think you need to relax, she is fine, and she is not going to get fat. She just needs some time.

If it's only the 2nd day post-op, I'd expect her to be sleeping. She has to finish healing, and get over the effects of anesthesia.
Don't worry... she'll become more energetic.
Some dogs do have a lowered activity level after being spayed, but most return to their prior energy level. They'll also have better general health and be less likely to roam or run away.

She will be tired for a few days - and then WHAMO! My dog is just as energetic now as she was before she was spayed - and she even had complications (chewed her stitches and had to have emergency surgery and staples)....But she is 100% fine now. Dont worry - she needs a little extra rest for now. My one piece of advice - put an e-collar on her during the times that you can't watch her, so she can't get at the stitches for a few days.

Oh my gosh, YES! My Border Collie has no less energy now than the day before she was spayed last fall! It takes a few days for your dog to get back to feeling normal. Don't stress over her, she's fine. Give her the rest she needs and in a week or so, she'll be back to her normal self.

Sleeping all day the next day is normal - she is sleeping off the meds and anesthesia. After a few days, she'll be back to her normal energetic self. Then you have the fun challenge of keeping her quiet till the stitches come out.

Thank you for getting your dog spayed! Kuddos!
Depends on the dog and how she reacted to the anesthesia. Yep. just like people - dogs react individually to procedures.
Be glad she's sleeping. The more quiet she is, the less likely she'll pop her stitches. So, keep her quiet and mellow for at least the first week.
Eventually she'll get her energy back and be none the worse for wear.

give her time to heal. The first few days are the hardest.. the anastesia is wearing off, and she is a little sore. Remember, she just had surgery.. its basically the same thing as a hystorectomy in women.
Within a week my female was up and running around like normal.

well my dog was a very energetic dog to begin with (brittany spaniel)
when we bought him home after being neutered he was as energetic as ever. he got neutered in the morning and we bought him home in the afternoon and he was running around and playing not resting like most dogs.however our female dog after she got spayed needed a few days to rest and relax.
Don't worry your pup will be fine she just needs to rest shell be herself in a couple of days.

That is normal. It can take as long as 4 days for them to start acting completely normal. Any longer then that and I would call your vet to see if they have any suggestions. All dogs are different though and your little girl did just have surgery. Give her time.

Give her a few more days and she will be just fine. It's a big surgery for the females. She's still probably a little groggy from the anesthetic too.
