It's a logical consequence of living in a universe that doesn't have the slightest interest in us.
We're just a part of a large electrochemical reaction on the surface of warm matter - like mould on a pea in a mountain of other vegetables.
All of which is cold, and no comfort. How splendid, then, that there are so many fun things to do!

Yeah, I find this to be true as well. I think distraction is the best solution. Thinking about life on a deep existential level takes time and energy. When I keep myself occupied, I don't have time to think about the depressing aspects of our existence.

Yes. And surely when people me that the bad they doing is in my best interest. People have been saying that for years and my best interest has never been a part of what they said or did.
