It's a logical consequence of living in a universe that doesn't have the slightest interest in us.
We're just a part of a large electrochemical reaction on the surface of warm matter - like mould on a pea in a mountain of other vegetables.
All of which is cold, and no comfort. How splendid, then, that there are so many fun things to do!

Yeah, I find this to be true as well. I think distraction is the best solution. Thinking about life on a deep existential level takes time and energy. When I keep myself occupied, I don't have time to think about the depressing aspects of our existence.
