Sounds like you had a bad experience and I'm glad u can take care of yourself. However, there are many, many men out there that are not childish and act the way a grown man should. They also take care of themselves AND their families, plus do it without being nagged or asked to. So to encourage all women to divorce is absurd! I will admit there are a some women that should leave their husbands bc they could do better; but this isn't a "one size fits all" situation. So congrats on the happy life you now live, But I'm just as happy within my marriage and I would never change my man for the world! It's about time to give credit to all the good men out there for once (applause!!!!)! It sometimes goes a long way to praise your man...U should try it sometime

Well sorry, you feel that way but I have been happy married to my husband for 5 years and he does not act like a child, he acts as an adult and parent to our 2 daughters, if that was 20 yrs ago don't you think its time to move on I am quite sure your ex husband is not thinking about you, and just because he acted childish with you then doesn't mean he is still childish now in 2007.

Obviously you did not have a good marriage and have been scarred so much your views have been distorted badly. This might be a good thing for you, but many people still regard marriage as a wonderful thing. Just because you didn't find the right one to make it work with does not mean this is the same for every one else. Many people have, I for one and I pity people with this view.

You sound bitter - and that's sad. Sorry that you got stuck with Mr. Wrong - but 20 years later is far too long for you to be celebrating your divorce. You divorced him to get him out of your life, yet you keep him in your life with this celebration of yours.

If I divorced a guy 20 years ago he would be the last thing on my mind at this point. I don't think I would remember the anniversary of it.

Whoa, you haven't found anything else to celebrate in the last 20 years? That's pretty pathetic. I've been divorced twice, and don't remember the dates...not even the year.
Get a life, ok.
