Woo hoo! Thank you !!!

No, she won't gain weight just because she's spayed. As long as you continue to exercise her and feed her appropriately, she'll be healthy and happy.

My dog I just got from the shelter gained weight after she got spayed but it was a good thing because she was skin and bones poor thing. Now she looks like a whole new doggie.Healthy happy and ALIVE.Her ribs were sticking out.I had to get her.My other puppy was spayed 2 and a half weeks ago and she hasnt gained any weight yet.But shes just right. And she didnt loose a drop of her energy. They are both awesome.

You asked yesterday when you got her spayed and everyone who answered (and there were a lot) told you she won't gain weight. Why don't you believe us?

It's an old wives tale.

Neither of my females ever gained weight. They stayed exactly the same.

I am glad you followed through and got it done. She will be healthier in the long run for it.

If you exercise and feed a dog properly they won't gain weight. I have had several female collies that are spayed and never had this problem.

Talk to you vet and pay attention to what you are feeding her!

PLEASE your not worried about the dog gaining weight????? You have been posting this same stupid question everyday for days now. Quit wasting people's time and grow up & get a life! You must be an anorexic teen or something obsessed with weight, get a grip.

To other posters: this person has constantly posted this exact same question....check her question stats (if she's had the guts to make it public) This is getting old in a hurry.

spaying should not make a dog gain wieght
you may try to feed her a little more
The directions on the bag is an average but your dog may need a little more.

she will not gain weight. There are so many people who refuse to listen when they are told the truth. IF YOU KEEP FEEDING HER HEALTHY FOOD AND GIVE HER PLENTY OF EXERCISE SHE'LL BE THE SAME.
THNKS FOR SPAYING!!!

when my dog got neutured he didint gain one ounce of weight
but you have to remmeber to exercise and feed her the rig ht amount of food
having your dog fixed doesnt lead to weight gain that is a myth
if your dog is still a puppy then yes she will gain weight not because she is fixed but because she is still growing

None of our dogs gained weight after spaying or nuteuring...we kept them exercised and fed them a quality food in moderate quantities. Obesity can only happen if you let it happen :)
Thanks for spaying !!
