it is physiologically impossible to "tone" muscle, it is always that way. subcutaneous fat covers the true shape of skeletal muscle. think of a sculptor who starts out with a big slab of granite, the principle is exactly the same.

if you have low body fat (less than 10%) then to see the abs in great detail with out flexing you need to increase the size of them using resistance.

dude, the humans i do know with the quality abs do not even paintings them out that a lot if in any respect. because the ancient adage says "Abs are created within the kitchen". Meaning you have got to devour adequately. if you're chubby, then reduce your fats down. if you're fairly thin, then begin operating on the entire muscle groups for your frame with weight lifting. abs will also be constructed via doing simply squats, deadlifts, rows. i certainly not paintings on my abs and they're there.

on the floor cross one foot over the opposite knee and touch the elevated knee with the opposite elbow then switch. Lay on your side and do side crunches-30-60 will be fine and cable work is good too. Diet is really what determines your definition. Genetics determine where they want to keep your fat.
