If we started deporting all illegal immigrants in this country, my primary fear is that there would be a insurrection of illegals and we would see things much worse than the LA riots. I'm concerned about what would happen to people who basically have nothing to lose. I think the better way to take care of things is to get rid of the ones who are causing trouble, stop employers from hiring illegals and punish them if they do, and get a government system where we can track all people so that fake documents do them no good anymore. Should we give the law abiding illegals a chance to become legit? Maybe, but only if they will learn English and pay into the system and some sort of penalty should be assessed to them for being illegals.

Well, if the country succumbs to fear of backlash, we'll never enforce our laws and we'll never get control of the illegal immigrants. When gangs terrorize areas, they thrive off the fear and feelings of isolation for those in the areas affected. We must start deporting illegals and we must have the government stand up and tell the whole world that ignoring our laws will not be tolerated. We must punish employers who employ illegals and we must stop cow-towing to people who have zero respect for the laws. Bring in the national guard if necessary. Riots can be quelled. It's more likely that if we brought in the National Guard and we enforced our laws and the illegals realized that we aren't going to back down from their threats and bullying, they'll leave in droves. If they commit further crimes, then they can be punished for their crimes prior to being deported and then once they've served their sentences and paid their huge fines and done other forms of legal pennance, they should be deported. We must use all of the means available to us, including documentation, stop employers from hiring illegals, have local governments help in the documentation and enforcement, have identification checks (YES I SAID IDENTIFICATION CHECKS) for driver's licenses and insurance as part of roadside checks and arrest all people if they don't have a license and/or insurance. Take them to the police station and fingerprint them. Get addresses and ensure that these people are here legally. We, law-abiding citizens, have to give our driver's licenses and show other forms of identification for all kinds of services. Therefore, illegal immigrants should not be able to say we're profiling or targeting them. The fact is that driving is a privilege and roadside checks have been held to be legal across the country. I don't want illegal immigrants to have any opportunity to stay in the country whatsoever. The reason is that their loyalties will always be in question. If you or I ever used a false I.D. to work or to enter places illegally, we'd be subject to jail time. There is much more here than just crossing the border illegally and working here illegally. When illegals have babies (2,3,4,5,6 or more) who are considered citizens, they can effecftively use their illegal status to remain citizens of their country and then have their children become president or run for office and literally give our country to Mexico or some other country (China for example). We have laws for a reason and those reasons include protecting our soverignty and protecting our citizens from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Think about it. It's just like the Trojan Horse except the illegal immigrant babies are the Trojan Horse. We cannot ignore our laws and we can't trust people who would ignore the law when it suits their purpose. They are CRIMINALS and they are dangerous even though they are only armed with false identifications and baby-making skills. They could bankrupt the country, too.

First off I am sure every hater in the world is going to post an answer. Not just people who would accuse you of being racsist but those who are against immigration have though thought it through. I think you have the basic right idea.

But...... the amnesty thing. Maybe it could be done but the cost of sorting it all out? Who is law abiding, who has been here long enough, has roots in the community and all of that. An illegal has already been living under the radar and has no papers so who's to say. Say America siad "OK, 2 weeks from now if you wish to stay fill out the papers".

Ther would be all sorts of issues. Someone was not notified, they were illiterate, etc. etc. Some would choose not to participate even if they knew. Their employer might get in trouble and they lose their job. Basically you would grant amnesty to a huge group and still have illegals so this solved nothing.

Seems to me a wall would do nothing. Do what other countries do, keep it simple and go from there. One national ID and a system in place where employers, banks and such can detemine if one is legal of not. It shouldn't be that hard as even banks can determine in 5 minutes if you have bad credit.

Other countries basically take the business away for hiring illegals. The riot thing? No money, no job, no food and that would last a few days. If picked up one could not apply period. Most would just go home and maybe care more about fixing their own country. Those people who did so, are willing to go through the process, learn English and such are welcome. Other people have done so....... people from eastern Europe for example.

You know what? Fear is what prevents a person (or a people) from taking action, and inaction only makes conditions worse. We, as a people, cannot be intimidated by the threat of "people who have nothing to lose". If we are, then we have nothing left to lose, either. I do like your ideas of clamping down on employers for hiring illegals. I do not like the idea of a government system to track all people (I imagine checkpoints like the Berlin Wall, with military checking "papers") I would also want to stop, immediately, all government aid to illegals. If this wasn't such a gravy train, they wouldn't be here in droves.

I gather from your question you are very young and live at home where your parents take care of every thing.

Fact:
All of them have false ID. You can't even get telephone installed without producing some document stating who you are. You can't open a bank account or have a social Security card with producing legal documents.

Once they have obtained false ID they have committed a crime. Simple as that.

These are not good people or do they ever make good citizens. Them coming here for any reason is not justification to break a law.

This country has a very generous immigration policy they just need to apply and wait.

Also, we can not survival as civil society if we pick and choose what law we want to abide by or who doesn't have to abide by them. Think about it.

I'm more concern that they would join gangs, since they will have a decrease chance of getting a "legitimate" job. That is how MS13 gan got started. El Salvodoreans couldn't get jobs, because they have no papers and can't get jobs, so they start doing illegal activities to support themselves. Frankly, those who resort to such crimes to support themselves are not the high moral peope we want here. I believe that tough times shows the true individual inside.

As for rioting, they broke our law, and if they are the type to continue causing trouble, we don't want them either. I just get all flustered thinking about people who knowingly did something wrong and is angry at us about it.

They have to go, if a backlash ocurs, we have police and special units geared to deal with rioting. No more excuses, the illegals have to go now. No, there is not such thing as a law abiding illegal! Hence the word illegal! I don't fear them, and I hope our country isn't afraid of these losers either!

The Ins Ind had it right several yrs ago. Everyone yelled 'abuse'. However read into the beginning of the insurance industry. Just like BA/MC had it right with their pic id credit card. U know, laser license like the laser 'visa' for border crossers and resident aliens..
I am not norteno, no more than you are you or anyone else, we have the german system - numerals - get it.

I do not support either amnesty or mass deportations. As the economy slows and the housing market dips, I lot of those jobs that illegals are doing will dissipate, and being that amnesty is not on the front burner, maybe most illegals will see the hand writing on the wall and go home

I know one thing for sure - if you are an American that owns a home or condo in Mexico - kiss it goodbye. I sold my condo in Cabo because I fear that the corrupt Mexican government will let locals take over property owned by Americans and do nothing about it. Also what about the illegals that own property or have financial debt here? We need to get rid of the people draining our social programs - but realistically we need a way to legitimize people who are willing to contribute and assimilate.

As far as the rioting part, we would mobilize out Natl Gaurd to put them in theyre place.

"Law abiding illegals". Think about that statement. Think hard. Then realize it makes no sense.
