Guacamole (can buy pre made packages in the produce dept), hummus, applesauce, lunch meat, triscuits with melted cheddar cheese, mac 'n cheese, grilled sandwiches, sandwiches, hamburger helper, lasagna, hot dogs, chicken nuggets. Whatever you can get them to eat. I tend to do the "unhealthier" options for lunch. Granted, I always supplement with at least one fruit and a veggie, if possible, but if my kids are going to eat something not completely healthy for one meal per day, it's at lunch.

Mine have their main meal at 5o'clock, so for lunch they have sandwiches, carrots and apples to dip in humus(have I spelt that right? Or they like some pasta cooked then stirred into a ready made tomato based sauce. They don't really eat very much at this time of day. Sometimes they like a picnic type lunch even if its indoors in the wendy house

anything that i have in the cupboard or fridge!! I don't tend to give them a "set" lunch, as long as they have 2 pieces of either fruit or veg and are full after eating, they could have anything from pasta, to a salad, jacket potato, or sandwiches!! I like to give them something different each day so that they don't get bored with any one thing. Also, the kids love to help in the kitchen so they are always getting involved in the preperation of their lunch, and dinner, this makes it more interesting for them!

My son loves Peanut butter and Jelly! (I don't) Try making Pasta salad with some veggies in it. Finger Sandwiches. Macaroni and cheese. (most kids love it) Fruit salad goes with anything. Cut Turkey or Ham in small squares and put it on crackers with cheese. The sky is the limit. Just get creative kids love that silly stuff. Best of luck to you.

I have albinism and a mild learning disability (dyslexia), and if I had asked for a free lunch, the teachers would have laughed in my face. (Yeah, they were jerks.) Why did he feel ashamed, and why would you ground him for something that happened as a result of his disability? It sounds like a lot of the problem is overly punitive parents. If he were that ashamed, it was probably a result of having been habitually punished for making mistakes or forgetting. Why doesn't his mother give him money? If she can afford to but doesn't, SHE should apologize. If she can't afford to, the school can probably help.

Mine enjoy pitta pockets: warm a pitta bread and half them then fill with chicken, cooked meats, anything really.
Tortilla wraps are also a favourite, once again with any filling.
Try a jacket potato, toasties, or a bowl of pasta.
Yoghurt's or jelly are a simple dessert then a choccie treat.

Peanut butter sandwiches with raisin smiley faces on them to make it fun! I try to avoid anything with a lot of sugar because after the sugar rush wears off they start crashing and get cranky. Fresh veggies or fruit is great or yogurt as a side. My kids love butter noodles. To make them, cook up some spaghetti (add a bit of salt while cooking), drain, add butter and parsley & mix. It's healthy, gives them helathy energy and tastes great. That is one of their favorites.
