I'm just asking out of curiosity, as all the questions on here all seem to be from people of those beliefs, Atheism and Christianity more so than Islam.
And before you point out that Atheism isn't a relighious belief, I do already know that. Its more along the lines of a lack of relighious belief. I just didn't have room to add that in.

Okay, an atheist is the lack of belief in a god. Point taken.

Okay, 'Death', what on earth are you talking about?!
Is the insult really necessary?

I would also like to apologize if I have offended any Atheists out there (I seem to have offended one or two). I meant to insult or disrespect.

I'm a meologist. That is i study my own religion! Brought up as a catholic but don't think much of it, studied scientology for many years, can't say a word against it except that it requires full commitment. (yes i've read all the slander against it, but that is all rather biased).
Now i am much of an examiner of life.
The early books of the bible are not as fictitious as many of the atheists on here would have us believe, scientific evidence for a first man and first woman. Tons of worldly evidence that the flood did actually happen.
If people (both christians and atheists) would stop looking at the bible as fiction or figurative, and appreciate that many of the stories there are actually exaggerated eye witness accounts, exaggerated because they were passed down orally from generation to generation, then they will see a much different picture emerge.
An early part of the creation story (kept out of the bible) tells how 'gods' (whose true identity is still rather curious) developed humans on this planet as slaves. Sounds a bit much, but when this story tells of atrificial insemination, test tube babies and how female 'gods' were implanted with embryos, it doesn't sound much different to what we can do today.
Also, examining the flood story, it can be seen to be real. Hard evidence exists.
I think the truth is that an advanced race existed on earth before the flood, dated at around 10 000 years ago.
Records of this race were originally by word of mouth, and became mystical because future generations of the survivors of the flood could not comprehend the science.
There's a lot of lost knowledge out there.
Books by zecharia sitchin, robert lomas and christropher knight and alan butler are an excellent place to start for anyone interested in consolidating scientific 'fact' with religious 'fiction'.

Atheist means lack of gods, not lack of religion.
