Well in the middle of thier so called interesting story of temptation that would be a great time to start digging your nose or act like your crotch is itching.
The proper way would be to say your offended by the suggestion and kindly don't bring it up again.
If an offer is made you can say, your such a sweet guy, I am sure you will find somebody someday and change the subject.
If he won't talk about it but seems to be hinting you could say well I am hesitant in relationship right now because the STD is flaring up again. You thought it was under control.
or, look "FRIEND" the benifits? Ain't happen'in dig?
If it's me? Ooops sorry, wrong house, I'll just check this address out again...
Being timid is an entrappment. You must handle situations directly when it relates to romance and feelings. Attraction is blind to hints. Gotta be direct!!!

I have had this happen to me A LOT OMG. Why is it that men want laid without the work of a real relationship? UGH, lol. But what I usually do is just tell them that I don't have casual sex, and I only have sex with someone I love and am in an exclusive relationship with. That should get him off your case, and, if he quits talking to you, well then he wasnt a real friend anyway :)

You should just be up front with him and tell him...he should respect your decision...it may break his heart but he needs to respect your decision!
