Yes, celery is a negative calorie food. It takes more energy to burn it. It only gives you few little calories.
This is NOT a good way to think you can lose weight. You can't lose weight by eating celery all the time. Funny how I've seen a lot of girls try. Poor, poor slaves of the body image.

I dont know if the numbers are correct, but eating celery does burn more calories than the actual calorie content of the celery.

Yeah I think so. I know you burn more calories than you eat when you have celery. I don't know the exact number.

Fact: No foods can burn fat. Some foods with caffeine may speed up your metabolism (the way your body uses energy, or calories) for a short time, but they do not cause weight loss. The best way to lose weight is to cut back on the number of calories you eat and be more physically active.

Yup it has "negative" calories. One stalk of celery has about 6 calories, and digesting it burns more than 6. Cauliflower, cucumbers and some other vegetables also have negative calories.

It is considered one of the " negative " calorie foods... meaning your body burns more calories digesting it than it actually has. So, eat up !! Have some low cal pimento cheese with it for some staying power and you won't get hungry again so fast.
