I'm looking to buy last year's 2007 model but am just not ready yet. Dealerships advertise that clearance deals will expire on August 31st or September 4th.

If they still have cars after those expiration dates will the deals still be in effect, will there be better deals or no dice?

The actual answer is the prices given in August can not be guaranteed for an October purchase. It has nothing to do with the dealership. It has to do with manufacturer rebates, which change monthly. There is a possibility the rebates will still be available in October and sometimes they can even get better. However if they change for the worse, then depending on how much they changed, that exact car can actually cost more.

This is just the way buying a car is these days. That's why there is no actual answer to the age old question "When is the best time to buy?" The truth is the "best" time to buy is when you find the car you want at a price you can afford. I have seen many people loose out on rebate money because they waited an extra couple days and once the rebate is gone, its gone.

This is also a valid reason why many dealerships won't give people payments if they are not looking to purchase with in the next few days. Rebates can change and the price they give you can actually be higher or lower. So to answer your question, the specials today may not be available when you buy in October. Not even the dealer can answer that question. I hope this helps!

Depends on the dealership, if they still have any cars left.

If they still have prior year models in stock they will typically discount them.
If you are looking for a popular model vehicle, they may already all be gone. The ones that typically are left after the end of August are slower moving models.

It's a little bit top, however the resale significance in this vehicle is EXTREMELY well... This certain mannequin has a robust resale significance, so you'll be rough pressed to uncover anything excellent inexpensive except you get extra miles.

In the car business there will always be better deals, because this whole "clearance" and "discount" sales its just made up.
