If you make a mistake like that, you should undo the action/s, by clicking on the curly left facing arrow on the toolbar, or pressing Ctrl Z. However, you say that you copied, rather than cut, CrlX so presumably you have the text still somewhere else to copy again.

No unless you are using Microsoft Office.
On Microsoft Office, the rightmost side will contain contents of the clipboard, everything you copied from office since you opened it.

if you copied it to office i think you can recover it...but if you copied it to windows that's not possible
